By the way I would love to have a go on that bike 2wd nice!

I had a ride on the Yamaha 2WD when they can out here in 04/05 Aaron and you would amazed how easy you can ride up hills and how fast you corner on them. Takes a bit to adapt to the front driving. It’s a bit like an AWD car on the dirt.

I looked at a 2wd WR450 in 2005 was at Sam Laws Motorcycles, 24k tell you I gave it some serious thought even thought of selling my road bike to buy it. Too much coin in the end but, never rode one lucky you Mal. Saw them at the Condo 750 when the Yamaha team were there in 2004 or 05 can’t remember. Rode with one there it it drove out of corners like nothing else

Ok seeing that Iv`e gone to the soft side for this one trip, i`m starting to get a tad worried, Anyone got any tips on how i should approach this Adventure ride thingy??????? :( :)

    Boony

Firstly Boony there is nothing soft about a decent adventure rider ;) and if you are worried about this one than you are soft

What do you need to know? You have a route you said. You need to take some clothes to walk around in. You need to know how many klms between your fuel stops. Pack your stubbie holder. Read the first post it covers all the other details. Easy as a normal ride. ;)

speaking of tyres what sort of ground is at hampton is it similar to clarence . thinking of getting a mitchelin s12xc front and a pirreli scorpion back ?

Yeah pretty much the same I reckon, maybe more clay. I will run a S12 rear and a Pirelli front I think as they are on the bike
