Give the suspension to Nick at Tekniks and get it done. That will be the best money you can spend on it. If you are heavier the valving will make a huge difference as the springs wont stop it going through the stroke. I can take them down after the nav ride if you go ahead.
Bark busters, maybe bars and ride it

KTM’S GRABHAM OUT OF DAKAR RALLY
KTM Australia’s Ben Grabham is out of the Dakar Rally after crashing in the fourth stage of the event between San Juan and Chilecito.
The 32-year-old winner of at least 30 Australian titles in various forms of off-road motorcycling encountered a drop-off in thick dust and fell heavily, before being taken to hospital for examination in Argentina where he was subsequently released.
General Manager of KTM Australia Jeff Leisk said the fall was most likely a result of yesterday’s misfortune, in which Grabham – while running third in the stage – was one of four riders to follow a lead competitor down a wrong turn and got badly stuck on a steep mountainside.
The difficulty compounded when one rider crashed heavily, and Grabham and two others waited with the injured rider while he was airlifted to safety.
The chain of events dropped Grabham from 9th outright to 32nd place, and left him many slower riders to pass in dangerous, dusty conditions.
“Ben’s had to ride through a lot of dust today and found a big drop and gone over the front,” said Leisk, himself a former World Motocross Vice Champion. “I’ve received a small amount of information and it looks like he’s hit his head and is pretty battered and bruised. He had to get checked out but seems to have nothing broken.
“Obviously he’s extremely disappointed to have his Dakar end in this manner,” Leisk said. “I was concerned when he had his setback yesterday because it puts the rider in the position of having to take calculated risks to keep moving forward. We’ve all done it – but the most important thing is that he seems okay, so I’m very relieved about that.”
Today’s stage win went to Spanish rider Juan Pedrero Garcia ahead of KTM riders Francisco Lopez Contardo from Chile and Spaniard Marc Coma while in the overall standings Juan Barreda Bort holds a narrow lead over the KTMs of three time winner Coma and Contardo.

Bundyroy wrote:Great initiative TB. Hopefully it takes off for you and Steve. Can’t see why it wouldn’t. I would think the ADV scene would be larger than the dirt bike scene.I had a quick look at the rideadv.com.au website. A little feedback. It all comes up well but then the background seems to go dark to emphasise the ride ADV part. This however made all the other info (ie ride dates) very hard to read. Maybe it’s just my computer but I thought you’d like to know. I have an old version of internet explorer as we run windows xp at work so hopefully that’s it. Can’t get the latest internet explorer when you have xp. I’ll try it on Chrome now and see if there’s any difference.
Edit. Works fine on Chrome so it’s just my old gear. Won’t be many like it now. Another reason for me to get an upgrade.
Thanks Roy, bottom line is we need to recover our costs. If we didn’t go this way I would be stopping the rides because while it is doing what I love its costing me, my family, my friends (Sweeps and helpers), Steve and the sweep truck drivers personally.
We are less than half the price of others that are doing it as an income and we I believe offer more.
Thanks for the comments again Roy

– KTM Australia Report (Ben Grabham)
Just a day after logging his best ever result in the famous Dakar Rally, Australian KTM ace Ben Grabham has tumbled down the order in the fallout to a simple navigation error on day three of the race, between San Rafael and San Juan, Argentina.
Grabham was poised to again eclipse his best result in the first hour of the competitive stage after speeding into an incredible third place at Checkpoint One, 57 kilometres in.
However two hours later Grabham and three others including yesterday’s winner Sam Sunderland followed one of the lead riders in the wrong direction, causing a domino effect that would result in Grabham entering tonight’s Marathon Stage bivouac in 73rd place provisionally.
“Myself, the two Honda guys Sam and Paulo, Juan Pedrero on the Sherco and Ruben Faria all went down the wrong mountain,” said Grabham. “In the first 20 meters we knew it was wrong but it was just way to steep to get back. We tried for about an hour but it was damaging the bike too much.”
Next, KTM Factory Team rider Faria crashed heavily and required airlifting, so the Aussie, Sunderland and Goncalves waited with him for the helicopter to arrive.
“Then to get out of where we were was quite a mission,” said Grabham, “all of us had to help each other lift our bikes down rock ledges and that took us a lot of time and energy.
“I’m not happy about it but there’s not much I can do about it.”The day’s result sees Grabham drop to 33rd in overall motorcycle classification, and as he is away from his team in the Marathon Stage bivouac it is not yet known whether he and the other riders will be credited any time for their assistance of the injured Faria.
Tomorrow, Grabham must nurse his bike and tyres a further 550 kilometres, including 352 kilometres of special stage in order to complete the Marathon Stage.
Come on Grabbo, cool heads prevail. Head down arse up ride smart and fast.
