Ok this hurts….but here we go. I will not be leading the westerners version of the nabiac ride, :( I will however be working on a ride from nundle to gingers creek instead, :) Nundle—nowendoc, over night stay,,nowendoc—-gingers creek, over night stay, and then back again.
it would take us 5 days to get to and from nabiac as we dont want to ride major roads if we can avoid it,and from gingers to nabiac and back to gingers is mostly main road type stuff, :( if some one want to take over the nundle nabiac run, feel free. :(

??? Thats an adventure ride  , I told you the other day on the phone you CANT ride that distance in one day on singles. Also according to a well known trail tour leader whom I was talking to last week the singles in that area dont exsist  I spoke with Mick about it after I spoke with John. The tracks just arent there mate. He said 4×4 trails and fire trails, dirt roads at best
Pity you arent coming just for the social side more then anything, the ride from Gingers to Nabiac isnt all bad having been that way with Mick Moose Jeffro and Boulder before.

    More for me

nice write up mick, think I’ve found my Christmas present  (kids IOU in an envelope for daddy’s bike).

Just read all the other write-ups and I’m sold. The rides I have been on feel like I’m fighting the bike a lot (I was thinking steering dampener), but now I think I’ll visit Teknik’s to get my suspension done early in the new year, hopefully get it in before Hampton’s ride.

    Cheers,

    Sneezy.

where’s the best price on a 4 L bottle of Motul 800 factory line 2 stroke oil around newcastle ?

Can’t help you up the Castle as such Husky, but if you ring Scotty at Sutto’s explain who you are (eg an Old Bull) I am sure he can do it cheaper than the Castle even allowing for freight. Tell him I challenged him   You would get a much bigger discount if you buy a 20L just a thought

    Thanks Again!!

I am not sure of the situation …… he was not very talkative at all??? Mick P and another Old Bull have gone up to get him in Micks 4WD they left just after 3am this morning to go and look for him before I got the call at 5.30am to say he was safe!!
Thanks for the offer of help and my temporary membership to Old Bull :)

Ah Mrs Lotsa welcome pity it was under such worrying circumstances  Imagine the being the poor farmer woken with Wayne standing at the screen door with his lop sided grin at 3.30am

Thanks to Boony whom I woke last night, Pep and everyone’s offers of help, thank god for Mickp and Scott the legends. I sat up until 2.45am mapping all the routes he could have used and loaded my GPS. I got all my gear out and the Tenere ready to go. What was I going to do I wasnt sure as I thought he could be anywhere even in Yengo on his way for example  I was going to ride out the Putty rd and go up through Singleton into Moonan Flat. I had thoughts of getting Moose and the Mayor onto Knowandoc rd area and Boony up his end.

I did a ride through Sofala, Sunny Cnr and Capertee the other week (Should do my report) and I did it on my own. I rang Mal5.1 and let him know where I was and when I would be at locations I rang him a couple of times (there was no phone range 80% of the time) but it highlighted for me the need to get a spot tracker these are a great piece of kit and they have different buttons to let different people know of your situation good bad or really bad. If you followed the spot thread on the Camerons ride well you know how good they are.

Dont buy one yet though I am hoping to make an announcement this week regarding a new forum sponsor who will sell them cheap to us ;)

Again welcome Mrs Lotsa, now make him take you Christmas shopping today as penalty

Sorry Aido there is no good news :( He left on the ride on his own, he stayed at Moon Flat pub last nite and hasnt been heard from since. Its a massive area he was going to go across and many different ways (like a rabbit warren looking at the maps), there are heaps of creek crossing and according to Boony whom I have just spoken with they have had a heap of rain. There is no fuel at Nundle so lets hope he is on a back road out of fuel and seen no traffic because no one is on the back roads because its so wet  :(

Will post anything up as soon as I know
