Done a few of them great event, I actually qualified in 20th place out of 200 in 2005 on an XR600!! I think it was. Awesome starting at the front. Pace yourself, ride the same speed all day, watch the fence jumps and make sure you walk the road crossings

Well it has been a fav number 5. Never actually crashed this one
not like the previous one :ohmy: :whistle: Only dropped it twice in the 13,450kms its done in the 7 months I have it.
New one ordered, new color scheme as well :woohoo: :woohoo: :woohoo:First ride, left for 5 days in the high country with 4kms on it !!

Friday night July 31st
Please be at the registration and map loading no later than 7pm in Nowra on Friday 31st July. Map loading and registration is at the Archer Resort Nowra (Just a pub really) Cnr Princes Highway & Kalandar St, Nowra, NSW, 2541. Please let TB know if you are going to be late on 0499 089715The Archer Resort Nowra has accommodation including a combination of rooms with doubles, twins and queen beds, to book 02 4421 5222. There is a fully licensed bar and bistro on premises. Check it out here at archer.resort@alhgroup.com.au
GPS loading* will start at 5pm and riders briefing is at 8.00pm. All riders are required to attend the rider briefing or you will not be able to start the ride. This is regardless of whether you are using your own GPS or riding with a mate and following his tyre tracks. At this stage 75% of the routes are in the bank. Weather conditions will decide the final track. Due to the ever changing nature of the tracks down there the final prerun will be the weekend before the ride weekend. Most importantly if you are wishing to ride the special route aggressive tyres will be essential.

Google for more accommodation if required.Day 1 Saturday 1st of August. Total distance about 250 – 275kms for both (the special could be even longer again weather pending)
7.30am departure, Nowra to Moruya. Maximum required fuel distance is 150kms. Sign out is at the RideADV Flags out the back of the car park of the Archer Resort Motel (Please do not depart before this time). Sign in is at Luhana Motel, Moruya. You must sign out and back in after each days riding. Please sign in before you head to your accommodation.
There are two routes being offered each day being a Standard and a Special route.
Recommended overnight accommodation is at the Luhana Motel, 82 Princes Highway Moruya NSW 2537. Phone: 02 4474 2722. http://www.luhana.com.au/
The owners of the Luhana are very nice helpful people keen to have us, please tell them you are part of the RideADV ride.
If you wish to camp, camping is at Riverbreeze Tourist Park. http://www.riverbreeze.com.au/
GPS loading* Will start after you check in, we will take your GPS to load and you can pick them up at the riders briefing at 7pm at the Motel. All riders are required to attend the Riders Briefing. All GPSs will be cleared Saturday night as there is a small section tracking back over itself the next day and we remove day one to avoid people getting lost.There is a service station next door to the accommodation that is open 7am to 7pm daily. Please fuel up before you check in Saturday afternoon.
Day 2 Sunday 2nd July Total distance TBA, maximum fuel range at this stage is 250kms

Cant say I really notice a traction difference being a 250. I ran Dunlop 120’s on the XR650R and width wise they were just a bees dick narrower than a 140 S12 Michelin.
