I over came this by removing the valve and screwing a air hose straight on the valve. Then building the compressor up to full pressure and opening the tap quickly. Once the tyre was beaded I removed the hose fitted a valve and inflated the tyre.
You could also go to a better customer service orientated bike shop
Have you got a tubeless puncture repair kit Jeffro? I saw them the other week at Sutto’s gees makes repairing tubeless leaks look easy :cheer:

Here I’ll add this for help and laughs

Thats a good point Ollie
as do XR’s, DR’s even my Tenere. I haven’t have had it meld but the grease I use does cost someone a small fortune  Good grease and regular maintance.TB
Riders list
TB – 660 Tenere
Boulder – DRZ400
Jeffro – God knows what
Mickp – Something from his growing stable
Moose – A rebuilt “ol Burple”
Krusty – XR or a DR
Lotsa – DR650
Nickj – DR400Support
Pep Driver
Bollocks Celebrity chefWell thats the list updated. Muc-Off Mike reluctantly withdrew today as he wont be able to have his TT600 finished in time
We have a neat 8 riders, we have decided to just leave the group at thatEveryone going has given their shirt size and will receive a commemorative limited addition Polo shirt and we will also have some stickers made

I ordered Moose’s tyres and E10 loop style bag for his bike today. Mick is getting on the job with Ol Burple very soon. Boulder is getting organised, Jeffro had a couple of nice tyres sitting at Sutto’s last week. My tyres, bearings, brake pads and levers are in stock
TB
Mick I use two fine tipped flat screw drivers, one from each side (180 degrees from each other) Once it starts to move up I switch to a little each side with a chisel between the bearing lower clamp. When its up enough I lever it a touch each side.
The other way I do them is to remove the gage and rollers and use the top lip (closest to the threaded end of the stem) with a drift against it and belt it side to side
180 degrees apartObviously the best way is break the gage of and fit a bearing press plate and press it off.
(never hit a bearing with a hammer as two hardened surfaces hit together on will shatter, very dangerous)
(I have never had to replace steering head bearings on any of my bikes even high milage bikes. I think its because I grease them with quality water proof grease regularly (every year). Never pressure wash that area directly. Normally water gets in, the bike sits for a week or two, a rust mark sets in the cup and that breaks up and the bearing fails.
FAIL TO PREPARE, PREPARE TO FAIL its the only thing I can put it down to.)

Quote:[strike]I have for sale the Ventura Bike-Pack System that came with my Tenere when I purchased it recently. The rack is in good condition with no big scratches or marks and comes with mounting bolts, washers and nuts. The frame that holds the pack (known as a Pack-Frame or Pack-Rack) can be removed in a few seconds, you can mount a Grab-Handle instead, or the smaller Sports-Rack. The recommend retail for the rack as best as I can figure is around $275 asking price $140 elsewhere cheaper if a bull wants it[/strike]

Also for sale is the R Jays bag that came with it. The bag is a little dusty and comes with carry straps etc. All zippers and flaps etc are in perfect working condition. Bag size around 45 + litres, the bag size can be increased or decreased as seen in the photo. Only faults I know of with the bag are the “J” is missing in the R Jay name and one of the fish net style nets has a little hole in it. These new are around $170 ish asking $80 elsewhere cheaper for a Bull

Both rack and bag combined $195.00 and free freight in Australia
Contact me via PM or 0419 421334
Rack has been sold, bag is still for sale
Cheers TB
