I have fitted a kitted for Chris72a Clarkey and it made a whole different bike out of it
I dont know how much coin its worth, the job is fairly easy for a mechanic or mechanically mined person. It needs the air box mod a jetting kit and exhaust in my opinion to get the benefit of the 300 kit though

If you are Sydney based I could help you out if required

My weekend started thursday morning, I had to meet Chris to pick up some stuff and then set sail for Wauchope. I had a quick catch up with a mate and then over to Mick’s shed.
Got the long necks in the fridge and started work on my bike, quick oil change, fitted a front tyre and Mousse (tyre was a 2nd had one Mick had thrown out a Bridgestone works great)
Mick turned up after work and we drank some, fiddled around etc. As the night wears on Mick informs me that his bike is stalling going down hills, I suggest we lift the float level to which he gives the standard its to hard blah blah blah   So I send him up the house to google the float level and we get the carby out. Once out I bend the tab and Mick measures the level we chuck the carby back in, one kick, two, three, four and he starts :P  It should have started, we shouldn’t have touched it blah, cry, blah. So we go and have dinner and come back same again, so I drained the carby bowl and check its got fuel, yeah plenty. Mick then drinks the fuel    see here
After that clams down and we find the plug spanner Mick carries doesnt fit his spark plug  I pulled the spark plug out and its dry, that means valve clearances to tight as fuel is at the carby. So I checked no top dead centre no compression. Quick valve adjustment and its starts first kick :) I look at his air filter and find all the oil in the filter as drained down through the filter and is in the bottom of the air box. (more on this later in another thread) I gave Mick some Motul filter oil and he does a new filter he had up, we fit it and happy days all ready :)

Next morning we pre ran the tracks and put up all the arrows and bunting and did some riding. The tracks Mick had worked out I thought and still do were a credit to him well done mate ;) I spent the day following Mick convinced his setup was way out, when I did pass him he accidentally got in the kill zone and Mick copped a tennis ball size rock to the head (well he said it was that big  )
We caught up with the guys at the farm stay, washed the bikes and went back to the shed and then they started rolling in.
I changed my brake pads (mistake that more later :( ) I made Mick get the gear to measure his ride sag and found it was over 120mm  Had to pukl half the bike apart to lift the subframe to get access to the spring preload. Mick started adjusting it and I finished, once done I put it all back together while Mick struggled with the carby boot add a brain spit he had and we got the sag to 105mm :) Adjusted the rebound and compression dampening with rider x’s help. We slid the forks through the triple clamp (thanks Jeffro  ) and the shed was done.

    More to come later

Yeah I would go a Scorpion from Sutto’s or the wherever you get one I have now tested them back to back against an S12 (kenda etc) and they are the go. The S12 may have a small traction advantage but not enough to worry about and S12’s dont wear as well and arent as consistent as a Pirelli Scorpion IMO. (The S12 is nearly $25 to $30 more expensive)

I am trying another tyre at the moment but the weekend showed its not as good as the Scorpion, an S12 or a VE33 of the top of my head :(

    Good luck

I had one go and lost traction. This is where a rekluse sucks big time. When you stop the engine on manual clutch bikes, the engine acts like a rear brake when you’re off the bike. With a reklused bike, when you step off the bike in a nasty uphill situation and have no traction for the bike or the feet, it turns to shit really quickly. The bike started to slide backwards and I tried to step with it but then ran out of ground to step on and I went over backwards. I landed heavily on my back protector and rolled down the hill about five meters. The bike also rolled side over side after me stopping just before me.

Ummmm not good Mal :( , get rid of it and learn to use the clutch throttle and gears together ya cheat :P  :woohoo: Glad your ok but the poor old Husky

Sounds like a ripper day wish I had taken the invite up now :(

The ice title through me still its better the Wauchope where it would be your #*$#@*# crack

Look forward to the pictures big man
