I have my own Secret track thru from Wollar to Rylstone , only me and one other know about it ……. just got to get my shit together and sort it into the Base camp soft ware from Magellan software . Either that or ring JL and have him talk me through it again from the Wollar end , I’ve only done it from the Sth going Nth the day we ” Discovered ” it .

I have it on a map somewhere about too , just can’t recall where I put the laminated map print out .

It is some public access farm tracks and Crown Land fire trails , then dirt rds through to the Mudgee rd then dirt back rds through to Rylstone . A fair bit of sand in one section through a pine forest too IIRC .
I’ll get onto it , chasing it up now .

I can add to that after Rylstone Al, will ring ya mate later in the week and link them up if you like

Last I heard from him he had put a 328 kit in it and had dropped a valve while he was running his interstate furniture removals business he got a government grant to start
and was waiting on a centre link cheque. His problem then was should he spend it on the bike or getting his ink finished? Doesn’t matter as long as Ace isn’t going no one can lead him astray ;)

Ok it’s all go this ride, I am pre running the whole course on the Wed and Thursday the week before and am looking for anyone interested in two solid days riding, especially if you couldn’t make the actual ride. PM me if you are interested

As for the ride, the publican at Woodstock has informed me he will have a massive VB gazebo setup if you wish to put your swag under or if you are hard core and just have a tarp and sleeping bag (or just a sleeping bag)
He has arranged a DJ and again remember the kitchen there does a great job and there will be free showers for those camping

Please stay across the first post on page 1 incase there are any changes

Hey Al I run these RK chains have done for years now. They last and are well priced, I get around 18k out of one with 3 front sprockets. I never lube them and as I said get miles and hrs out of them on the XR, 530 and the Tenere

    image_zpsa681df92.jpg

So you throw it on and adjust as needed. No lube ever or just not often?

Normally Nate never lube it, just fit it with new sprockets. After the first ride adjust it once and that’s it. Never lube, always steam clean my bikes basically all the wrong things. When the front sprocket shows the first sign of maybe starting to wear and hook I replace it, will do that twice and then the third I fit a new chain. That’s around 20k on the Tenere, but I have always treated my XR and the 530 the same. The 530 has just had the original sprockets replaced after 70hrs of a big bore dirt bike. I had fitted the RK chain when it was brand new, it’s had 2 front sprockets. Be it the desert, mud or wherever no lube, the lube is internal in the rollers sealed with the X or O rings. Anything you spray on it externally will attract dirt and girt and become a paste that wears the teeth of the sprockets.

Try it, it not my theory people smarter than me put me onto it years ago

Oh and the 2 reasons I run a gold chain are for looks and because they dont rust after washing between rides

I saw a young bloke, 20 years old, win the 2013 MotoGP World Championship!

Unbelievable! In a year he also came off at 300kmph in the wet, he came off plenty, just like Stoners first year.

So, at 20, he’s been World Champion in Moto3, Moto2 & now MotoGP…………..how good will he be?

    Only time will tell!

    Well done Mark Marquez

    Crash

Yeah he is awesome, that 300kmh unload in the wet was one to remember should find the footage and post it up
