Yes it will Nick because of the valving. Inside oil is being pushed through the holes that make up the valve body it goes through the holes easy when its slow moving with very little resistance because of the slow movement of the oil. When you have a big hit the oil is then trying to be forced through the same holes in a hurry and wont all go through at once, thus its slower to go through thus slowing the bars. Hope that makes sense tried to keep it simple.

At Finke I saw them draining the 2.5 weight oil out and putting 50 and 90 weight

Is this commen and do you get used to it?

Sounds as though you have it adjusted to tight, maybe start on a easier setting and work your way up if you need later

STAND UP, FISTS OUT – I WOULDN’T HAVE IT ANY OTHER WAY!

Baby I’m bad, I’m the fear in your eyes.
That hate in your heart has been branded with my name

    You oughta been warned
Not to cross the tracks to my side of town
    Dark clouds will follow
GOD MAKE ME PAY LIKE THE DEVIL I AM

It’s been ten long years since the devil laid his fiddle at Johnny’s feet

And it burned inside his mind the way he suffered that defeat
In the darkest pits of hell the devil hatched an evil plan
To tempt the fiddle player for he’s just a mortal man
“The sin of pride,” the devil cried is what will do you in
“I thought we had this settled, I’m the best there’s ever been.”

Johnny did you ever know that time keeps marching on
The coldest hour is the one comes just before the dawn
The devil’s back in Georgia will you stand up to the test
Or will you let the devil be the best?

“In truth I haven’t played much since the baby came in June
But give me half a minute an’ I’ll get this fiddle back in tune”

The devil grabbed the golden fiddle out of Johnny’s hand and said
“Though I’m the fiddle player underground and I walk upon the land”

“Y’all just better be just turnin’ back if you want this boy to win
‘Cos practice is the only cure for the predicament he’s in”

“Now devil it would be a sin for you to get my bow
You go on back to hell and to the wood shed I will go”

Johnny are you practising or will your hands grow cold?
The devil walks the land and plays a fiddle made of gold
Can you hear the babe a crying, will he ever know
The devil wants his daddy’s very soul?

Jeffro’s right we weren’t sure on the gates status when we did the ride out that way and if we got to it and couldn’t get through fuel range would have been a problem for some bikes on that day so with so many bikes we didn’t chance it. (Truth being told I should I backed the fact that I have used it many times and know its a gazetted road and not listened to the hippie that had never used the road but thought he heard or knew  ). As I explained at the time it is a gazetted road. It is open, you can go through, Chicken rode to Louee for the Christmas party through it and I sent some mate through there last month.

Yeah I have read that XY, I am wanting to order the bike with Crash Bars, soft bag racks, centre stand, bark busters with larger hand guards, extended screen and bar raisers.

When I get home with it I am hoping to fit a single Barrett exhaust with a fake one on the other side for a water container inside. Whipps for a bash plate and some other aluminum bits I want to design

Maybe just maybe some grip heaters

    Acerbis front high guard

    Decent tyres

And of the Tekniks to have it sorted from the go get

Hey XY that XT is so gay I would be better with a DR400 (sorry all DR owners expect Boony :P )

I have been buying most of my spare parts etc from them for years. I have no complaints with the service that I receive from them.

If your not picky about year models etc you will probably be able to pick up a run out model for a good price from nearly any Yamaha dealer.

Yeah Dan I have thought about them and will give them a go probably. I have been there with you enough times
