Considering the infastructure to produce them is already in place at other locations. It would cost a bomb to move operations dont you think?Think you would find that it would be a cheap set up and dirt cheap labour so they might move the entire shop there
Thats been my thought all along, I reckon they started producing certain bikes and engines there a while ago because of cheaper costs. So if its cheap and they are the major share holder why not do it cheaper and under your nose. KTM asked them to purchase 90% it said in the article so they are looking to get out so they wouldnt fight it you would think??

Quote:In case it wasn’t clear, it wasn’t just the angles of the tabs that were out of alignment, the tabs mustn’t be evenly spaced around the rings so you have to rotate the top ring till the tabs lines up with the bottom ring’s tabs and even then they’re not lined up spot on so the spreader plate is on a slight angle which is why I thought it could use a weld to stiffen it.OK must be you or your one then  Maybe for piece of mind then Tony a tack here and there
Come to think of it all of mine arent exactly 90 degrees  Although its never moved or caused concern and its done some work its been dragged all over the place for 12months now and used by heaps of people.
Still a good thing even with a tack if required

At least it will help them grow and develop into other areas there has been talk for sometime that they were getting into cars. This should help with increased capital for new projects like their new station wagon

but we don’t have to grease linkages… Hrrrmmmph, so that makes it all OK….

Both the models I would consider have linkages Bruce
Only I am real serious about the 640 Adventure 2007 model
That being only if I can come up with a real good low mileage one

Does that mean that Burt Munro would now ride a KTM at Bonaville salt flats to have the worlds fastest Indian
I mean its a serious topic I just thought there would be more input, maybe there is only input when it suits them
At least their call centre can be located at the factory

Is it just me or are all the KTM die hard riders very quiet on this thread, I mean I thought there would have been a lot more talk here regarding it. I have read on an overseas forum this morning a lot of for and against for the whole thing.
Will it make a difference, havent some of the bikes been produced there for sometime, I know a few of the popular engines have beenTB

Quote:Yeah they’d be the same rims and hubs he lent to me saying in the same breath “Oh the hub is flogged out and the bearing just flops about a bit, they did 28,000,000 km on my bike, just use some shimming steel and some bearing glue and it should be right.”Ended up costing me close to $100(mates rates) to get the hub machined and fixed proper, now they are fixed he is busting to get them back. Any wonder I am dragging the chain. :laugh:Oh you just opened up a can of whoop arse on yourself you PEANUT, easy to tell you work in the news industry your reporting skills fit right in
Firstly you wanted the rims right wrong or indifferent and I told you they had a flogged bearing hole but you wanted a look and send them anyway so I did then there was some methods of fixing yes
The repair cost you nothing, it was also $89 that your work sorted out NOTHING CAME OUT OF YOUR POCKET FOR THE REPIAR and I offered to pay for remember
I have never busted my arse to get them back and as you know have gone to a lot of trouble for you to continue using them remember 3 weeks back with all that I went through so you could continue using mine because you like the look of the black rims
Speaking of your rims and arses once I do the work and sort yours out and repsoke them and have the rims done I will shove yours up your f*$king arse

So Hatto you coming along or what?
Mick nice find “Jetstar has tickets from Sydney to Melbourne (Avalon) for sale today (may 12) for $36 one way, valid for the dates you require to attend the lunch. Now that is to cheap”
TB
Nah they all work the same Nick its just that they have different features more so then anything I am sure you will like the one you have. I have used (for more then a day) or owned a WER, Roc Stompa, Scott and the current MSC. I would own by choice either a MSC or Scott there was a couple of things I didnt like about the Roc and the WER I think has its limits
TB
For future reference Nickj post questions like this in the tech help and it wont end up with this dribble and shit in it. The tech forum is the only one we ban this crap  Dan can ride and wheelie good, Whanny is learning and going good and Boony couldnt pass wind
