Boony I tried all the goos, sealants etc before I settled with heavy duty tubes, a lot of those goos etc are designed for tubeless tyres with is very different to tube type. Good luck with it sounds like you have it under control good job ;)

In your first post you mention the 10L version. Do you have a picture of that. Is there any difference in speed between the 10 and 20L versions. I have heard the 20L ones are good when they are full but a lot slower once they get down to half full. Have you found any differences. Thanks

No pictures of the 10L. The 10L spout was purchased from Ballards years ago, the trouble with it was it comes without a Jerry Can and the only can that it would fit took forever to find so I avoided that. I haven’t noticed a difference in the speed after half full but by the sounds of that maybe the Williams F1 pit-stop crew could be better for you  I found it will put 17 litres in my mid size tank before I can take two bites from a energy bar in a pit stop, its plenty fast enough

Tracked down bridgestone UHD’s. Very exy $55.00 rear & $50 front, these are meant to be amongst the best tubes you can buy.

They are cheaper at Sutto’s and in stock, tell them you are and Old Bull and I sent you ;) A good tube as well, I will continue with the Michelins unless I cant get them and then I would use the Bridgestones

Just leave the bolts loose till you get them in place then tighten em up.

Bring down to my place Mick, I agreed to fix some wheels for an Mayor who shall remain nameless, he has my spare wheels on loan cause they fit his bike. So yeah mate I will de lace them for you and have them done and rebuild the wheels for you being that I am a nice guy. As a XR rider I would like to add the DR’s (mainly Boony’s crud bucket) and KTM’s (but there are crap and deserve it) also get a fair pasting, dont forgot Ollie’s Gas Gas although he escapes a bit because its as slow as him. I think it balances out CEL, you just need to remember how lucky us XR riders are and make an allowance for the dumb kids :P :P

Hey Scott I see sutto’s have them for sale little packs they seem cheap, I will pick one up and mail it to you if you wish. Once you have the shape etc you could make some and match a material as such

Even the bush patrols tarnish the sport’s image unfortunately because the general public see that the police are out booking illegal trailriders and develop a frame of mind that bike riders are doing the wrong thing since they don’t have any frame of reference regarding what constitutes legal activities so we’re all “noisey outlaws destroying the environment”!

I think the bigger clubs and retailers need to proactively represent the sport and demonstrate what the good guys are doing to protect the sport’s future and integrity with responsible riding.

Well said and written AB, that is it in a nut shell. Part of the formation of OBT was to try and be pro active towards rego and ride areas. I myself wont ride certain areas even though they are easier for me to ride and are favorite areas but are over ridden IMO. These over ridden areas are normally ridden by un regoed people as well. I dont have an answer but would like to help. I dont have a problem in telling someone they cant ride their unregistered bike / motorcross bike on one of our rides, but am not going to check rego papers etc I have seen un regoed 4×4’s trailered in to the watagans to do hill climbs and have rang the authorities reporting it, its my ride area that I will lose in the long run and I pay my rego.

As a lead rider of many rides a head on is always a worry and I just try to limit the odds as best as I can, this means some funny lines, looking ahead in the bush for head lights (hoping they have one) looking for dust etc and hope the other rider is doing the same.

    R.I.P young mate
