200 meters of sand mate, the water holes will be full and the sand wet no problems for you. They have had a heap of rain up there but wont affect that expect for the water holes like I mentioned. We did it on the August nav ride and it was easy (maybe not for Eagle  )

Its on again not far from home today :S . The amount of helicopters in the air is amazing and that Elvis thing is soooo noisy but amazing, the bravery of all these fire fighters be it on the ground or in the air is beyond question.

Thanks to all that have rang and text wishes, people like Moose, Hatto to name a few that I don’t speak with daily but thought of us at the moment its real nice cheers everybody. Fingers crossed for everyone state wide, be safe and remember family and yourself first.

Oh and to Bollocks, PTW, Strucky Dejay and the rest of the lunatics that have rang and offered to drive down and help, love your work guys but it is all good at the moment ;)

    Hey TB,

If the reserve list is empty does that mean I’m in? I’ve been sitting in the car port ready to go with the engine running for a while now, pretty soon I’m going to run out of fuel.

    Thanks Disco

Number 44 Disco turn your engine off mate

Thanks for the welcome boys!! TB I bought the bike from Team Moto in Brisbane, its being shipped down to their Sydney shop for me to pick up next week. Need to add a few essentials which I’m hoping to snare a few bargains at the bike expo next month.

Will definitely keep an eye on rides coming up & look forward to meeting everone.

First Tenere question – is there one essential no question mod I should do straight up? It has a centre stand, pivot pegs & barkbusters. I’m getting SW Motech bars & bash plate, barretts rack & wolfman expedition panniers. I’m really looking for any advice on suspension / engine mods. Have read a bit about DNA stage 2 filters & also somthing about a O2 sensor mod??

    Grip & Rip!!

Mate I modified my first Tenere as far the 02 sensor goes and isn’t worth the time and effort. Both my Teneres since have remained standard engine wise and go great. I fit a DNA filter cover and that’s it. A set of Barrett’s twin pipes would be the go. I have Leo Vince’s because they came on the first bike so I still use them but have spoken with Jason about a set of his pipes for the next one. Barretts are a site sponsor, so if you ring Jason tell him you are an Old Bull he will look after you. 45672072

STM is correct Teknik’s are a site supporter as well and actually have a deal going at the moment on Teneres suspension See here Tekniks call Nick or Blake 47322626

Everything else ring Janice at Adventure Moto also a site supporter an she will look after you See here

Hi Sneaky, Nice selection of bikes there ol mate ;) Out of interest did you get the Tenere from Watson’s in Cessnock?

As far as setup goes ask away, reckon I have broken it, bought it, used it, crashed it or seen it used on a Tenere   :pinch:

So up early the next morning, Lefty and I took off out to the mountain and into th pines we used on the June ride. Didn’t seem to have the same excitement we had in June with only 3 riders which included John
Anyway once through the pine forests and into the Australian natural bush and over Mt Tomah we stopped and waited.

After a while they turned up john first, he was sweeping

    P1000582_zps31b0677d.jpg

Then the remaining guys, the kiwi fellow on the KLX 400

    P1000586_zpseba7f80c.jpg

And the guy on the Husky 630. Sorry guys don’t remember your names

    P1000584_zps64c8508d.jpg

    P1000588_zps3d179a4b.jpg

Soon we were out towards Pennsylvania State forest and we came across a bridge washed out so a crossing through the swamp was put in to place using some tin and logs etc

Trucked on after Neville, we hadn’t seen the others and hoped Homer was sweeping them now. We decided to stop at Tarana pub for a quick beer, great race update and a feed.
Once at Yetholme we thought we would fuel and take the guys through a Sunny Corner but they decided they had had enough.

Lefty’s bike then fell to pieces

    P1000644_zpsa41438ea.jpg

He went to put the stand down and it fell off, was a funny end to the day. Well not quiet the end, we ran an old secret track into Rydal, some singles and into Lithgow.
Once the bike were loaded we took off home, I got to watch the end of the race and go out that evening with Salina and the boys to flip out.

Thanks Lefty for the great ride
