Quote:had a good long think about the initial question,Which OBT’er would you like to meet/ride with? How do you put that gauging from every other old bull I have met,(thats a few now) I really dont have just one person I recon would be good to ride with or meet, rather I enjoy the anticipation of meeting new old bulls when I travel to organised rides.
That is what keeps my old bull spirit high and my keeness for rides fueled. The best place on these rides (bar the trails) is the ever growing Old bulls ring of knowledge..(they are an expierence on their own.

I have to agree with you Boony (did I really say that  ) on the first part, what sort of a question is it, I want to meet everybody I guess, are there any favorites? I dont know? People do spark and interest I guess
The 2nd part, your ring of knowledge as such is a bunch of piss wrecks talking shit  I know I do it and love it The best example I have witnessed of this was a piss wreck going on about rekulse clutches and how they are the same as an automatic for hrs and he had never ridden one   Priceless moment that still makes me laugh
Circle of knowledge yeah can call it that but dont loss track of what it really is

It all comes back to care and preparation Mick, get your dirty goggles out of the shed, wipe the dried dirt / mud of them and jump on the bike you get the above results and scratched lenses
You clean them, prepare them fit a tear of all the time so that ONE tear off is protecting your lens, its taking the wipes on the trail that scratch the lens normally.
Run twin lenses when its steamy, or safey glasses on the wet days, carry a spare set of goggles cleaned and prepared in its special bag with you to swap when the other pair get to dirty. Have more then one clean soft rag, dont better scared to wet the lens when cleaning, I mean you wet your car before washing dont you?Sorry for the soapbox but years ago something happened that makes eyes and eye site a very personal thing for me and I hate seeing people take chances with their vision

Yeah its a good reminder Bill, I run those teflon inner coated easy pull cables (from england forget the name but will find it) and lube them regualrly. I also remove my tank a lot swapping between the standard and the 17 litre so I check them a lot. They cost extra but have been in the bike since the 4 day in 2006 so they have done 22,000kms worth it
Thanks for the warning Bill get better soon eh
