    I have a ride weekend coming up on the KTM Scotty so will sort it for sure. Cheers for the thoughts and will post what I find.
    I have only discounted the Dr650, KLR 650, and anything older then 2 years or over 20k

    All the suspension rates ok from ride reports, but I am hearing you Scotty.
    The BMW is beautiful but is a 22 to 24 K + setup bike against 16 and half for the Yamaha after Tekniks has finished with it. And the price of BMW parts and accessories ask Mal 5.1 we looked and OMG :ohmy: KTM are cheap by comparison

    Yeah looked at that and can get a deal like you wouldn’t believe, but it only has a 12litre tank and the only after market safari tank I have seen looks ugly even the KTM guys say that.     They look heaps better with the high front guard, I will be putting the Andy Strapz soft panniers I have on.

    What else do you buy with ground clearance, rally style setup, single cylinder under 20k

    Everything else is over 20k or years old

    Hi Amby and welcome to the site. Just a thought on the riding, depending on what you ride there is a two day ride with overnight stay on the 1st of may which has a easier option for the big dual sport bikes and katgirl is going to travel with them should you wish to join in

    The piston isnt a Kawasaki made part Mick its made by an out side supplier got nothing to do with shit. Same piston could be used in all the Jap 85’s for all we know :blink: . Happy days you got away with it I reckon
