The road race thing could be to help push into the road market as they seem to be developing road bikes rather then up grading dirt bikes at the moment IMO

I have snap on one that if you can wait till Saturday week when I get home I will freight to you to loan

Failing that, try repco or supercheap etc Take your radiator cap so you can make sure get the correct size

Try borrowing one from a mechanic maybe?

Foaming coolant will cause severe cavation in and around the impella and cause a stall in the flow of coolant and this makes the impella hammer around and load the seal bearings of the water pump :S

Yeah it could, But really Bull shouldnt we cover the simple things first, someone just had the water pump apart, I mean have you heard of many late model KLX 450’s with the above problem I dont think he should worry about that yet, I mean there are so many different things to get out of the way before he gets to the above isnt there including the pump thats leaking that someone had apart

I don’t have a compressor – any other way to pressurise the radiator? I’ll pull the oil screens out too shortly but the oil has no debris. I’m lost how there’s water in the sight glass and that’s caused it to stall…. You need to purchase a radiator pressure tester that can do small caps

Do you think I should pull the head off and put a new set of gaskets and piston in it? No not yet unless you really want to for some reason

plug looked fine when I pulled it too *bangshead*

Leave the oil out and pressurize the cooling system and see if any coolant comes out the sump plug hole.

Check your oil filter for debris, if both are ok fill it with oil and ride the bastard !

what will it mean if it is faoming?

Nothing as far as leaking from the seal goes, thats just a whole other thing :P Just fix the leak before you worry about that

Bulls right as far as the wear in the water pump shaft goes or in maybe not fitted square in the housing etc.
