It makes sense, I have seen a CRF450 that had its engine repositioned in the frame to achieve similar results for motard racing, and the rider said it worked and improved the bike
Pics would be nice

For a couple of bucks paying someone to do it there and then it seems better value than having to do it myself.I could buy the ingredients and make a sandwhich for work everyday but I still buy Subway (or similar) as it’s less effort and messing around for me
Same prinicple……See what I mean

No Boony, its all like he said  Isnt it Mick
TB
Maybe but knowing how lazy he is my his own admission I doubt it  he would rather pay someone to throw his desk up and down the stairs, remember his time is more valuable to him

TB
Yeah but can he let it go, bet he cant

Quote:T/B have you ever heard that harmonic distortion can lead to this sort of wear, as i was told many years ago that kawasaki had made a gross mistake on the old GPZ900r (the first “ninja”) and engineered the primary harmonic period at around 3500rpm, which was 110kph on standard gearing, and this led to abnormal valve train wear?BC
At one RPM Blue it can be an issue with some engines, pump and stationary running engine can suffer that’s why we do so much testing for ours but a dirt bike the whole rpm range is used (that’s why the motocool and all cooling systems are a compromise) and never sits the same so I wouldn’t think its an issue

Moto, I would ride from the Pines instead of taking your fancy Taxi down there or go with Champo in his ute, but watch out, this wee thing sounds serious like the clap

I think I would record all the measurements like you have and do another 20 hrs on it and measure it again, in the mean time I would be carefully opening the oil filter when changing the oil having a look for chrome, or hard faced material. The filter should filter from the outside in, you will find it normally down in the joint of the paper. You can also drain the oil across a mirror which will show up brass etc
I wouldn’t be worried, just alert to it I think

Yeah good couple of points Mick, for me Kylie puts in much more effort on these rides then most they look after me like a member of the family and I know much she enjoys the riding and they both write a report that leaves you feeling like you rode it with them (only thing is like talking to them, only Kylie’s really makes sense
)TB
Bonny how did you go from having had x rays and no breaks just tissue damage (bruising) this morning when I asked to broken ribs 4 hrs later??
