As for other brands I cant be 100% sure but very much doubt it to the point of almost saying no.
Hope that helps mate

Well it’s time for some housekeeping on the thread and a few updates, and seeing how Eagle hasn’t posted here in the last 10mins I will try and post before he inevitably does again and again
For the first timers or those not sure on the whole navigation thing Flying Fish as offered to help out.
Named “Flying Fish’s Navigation Newbies” FF has chosen to leave the lead duties to Stucky and I and she will help out in the pack. FF will help with GPS setup, mapping and general GPS hints and tricks. She will make sure you don’t take a wrong turn and end up in Broome WA
Just post up if you would like to ride with FF and get any assistance during the ride, you can do both days or even just one if you want.
We will have three Motul Packs to give away and another Yamaha care package like Lefty received last ride.
Don’t forget the breakfast offer on the bottom of the first post page one, get that organised quick smart and make sure you get your accommodation booked both nights
Any questions post up or PM if you want
Keep reading the first post please

Well done, had a look at that route last night and there is some good stuff in it. Best advice with that Husky after watching Wolfman when he had his 630 is loctite the shit out of every nut and bolt. I actually drilled and lock wired his subframe bolts which wouldnt stop falling out until lock wired

Trailraider wrote:When I bought mine they said it was ok to leave it in it’s protective case and stick it in your jacket top pocket, they said it would work fine.
Does this sound feasible? :unsure:My experience is they are sensitive to a clear view for tracking. There are two different things here to consider. If you are using it for emergency and ok messages only mounted in your pocket or like STMs (pretty sure Scott doesn’t use the tracking feature but purely the safety feature of being able to message for help or ok.
If you have the tracking feature like we use on adv rides they need to have a clear of view as possible of the satellites which is why on real rainy heavy clouded days and in heavy wooded areas the tracking isn’t as good. That’s why I have mine mounted with the front of it facing as upwards as I canTB
