Also last I spoke with Mick it was going to start in Wauchope

Fester in will be a fire trail cruise, dirt ride style thing, didn’t think it would appeal to the masses
Bull camping, we are staying at a pub

Wank factor really Eagle in a four stoke, but smells phat I even put it in my mower fuel and its a four stroke, only for the smell
People will tell you it reduces valve wear in four strokes, ask them to explain how it does that

Quote:but lets make it bike / riding related.OK here’s what I love about bikes and riding bikes
I love the sound of a four stroke banging away on the rev limiter especially if its not mine

I love the grip of a new tyre
I love the lack of controllable side bite offered by a worn rear tyre
Ripping of a big wheelie with a crowd (hey its the truth)
I love sticking to people that tell me before a ride that my bikes to big, to heavy and out dated
I love listening the the same people offer excuses as to why they just got trowled up by the same old outdated heavy big 650 (although it doesn’t happen as much these days)
I love it when a big ride that has taken months to plan comes off and everyone’s has a good time
I love turning up for a big ride in the flogging rain and seeing everyone is there, that’s OBT spirit
I love the smell of mud on my headers
Castor oil, so much so that I add a cap full to the fiddy from time to time
I love the big slippery challenging hill that you get up first go without having to drag it up on its side with 5 mates because that’s not fun at all
I love hanging with mates after an injury free ride and sucking some stubbies
I love backing it into a high speed corner, especially going up the inside of someone
I love riding along the A track with Crash peddling behind and giving him instructions about the next corner exit and listening to him laugh and have a moment and yell when I do a big wheelie (cheers mate)
Doing the table tops at Louee
That will do for now

If the valves haven’t been done before or even once before they will be able to be adjusted for sure. Don’t worry about all the head of, valve failure talk it will be all good
TB

Shane do you have the clearances written down that they were before you pulled it apart? You have each shim for each valve in its own bag I gather?
Now the first question that should have been asked do you know how many times before the valves have required shimming?
You have owned it since new the bike, how many time have the valves been done before?
If never then a re shim and it will be fine

You home tomorrow I will call around during the day and have a chat
I have mics and the gear to measure the shims so we can order the correct thickness shims
Standard call out fee but

Quote:good on ktm (and you) for giving benny a go. he deserves it.we should take up a collection to send you there to help them out. you could drive the team to the change over points in a reliable truck. and if, if some unforseeable unfortunate event should occur, you could step up and save the day by riding. you know a lot of the terrain from the video. best take the 6fiddy just in case.

I dont think KTM are doing that much for them as they are raising money??
You know I couldnt go over Rodney, not with my 650 as it doesnt have ohlins suspension or upside down forks remember?
