Sherco – is that like sherbert?
No, I need a bigger heavier bike so that
I have an excuse not to do gnarly hillclimbsI can ride tar as well as dirt.Nice motor in the Vstrom – used to race a stripped-down SV650 – and great all round bike – but would like a bit more dirt capacity. Tenere feels about the right mix for me.
Mine is a long black with one, thanks.

Snap. I carry the world’s biggest rack and shock and amaze my partners with how much gear I can fit into a pitch
Similar to my biking – spend almost as much money on protective gear as go-faster stuff nowadays, and the ratio is inexorably worsening…
Cool, not sure about timing, am workign on the bike now. Rode a Tenere for 30 mins at lunchtime and loved it, so now I’m settled on what I want. I’ll post up when I’ve sorted myself out.
Yes, I have my own little list… nothing quite as much fun as shiny things to put on your bike
But something has to give…
KTM SM950 25,000km $8k on the market now

I put my baby up for sale
clearing the decks for a new bike
Time for a dirty bike….
Will be sad to see her go, though
Hi wigster – cheers for that. Good to hear it fits you well. We’ll see what the bike that TB recommends comes with, but yes, I’ve always needed to tweak my bikes to get them just right (and just mine…). Hopefully get to check it out tomorrow.
Been off climbing myself for a bit – first elbow tendon, then smashed my clavicle a couple of weeks back falling of my mountain bike. All plated, and recovering fast, keen to get back on the rock again. Don’t to too much tendon shredding stuff, mostly easy adventurous trad climbs – bit like my motorcycling preferences
Anyway, maybe when I have my bike we can hook up for a ride & climb weekend – camp at Newnes, Kaputar, Warrumbungles, one day riding, one day climbing – see how sore we can get
Thanks guys – looks like TB has a line on a couple of interesting bikes, cheers for that. Rory, thanks, will give you a shout if these don’t work out.

Some guys on xt660 have come up with what looks like a very cheap and simple preventative measure. http://www.xt660.com/showthread.php?p=113529 for a decent pictorial. Can’t vouch for it, but looked handy.
