Lefty, a T63 front is not a tyre. It’s a strip of black rubber that stops the rim from hitting the ground.
I used to sell Michelins and bought a front as I’d tried the rear and thought it would be more of the same. No dice. It’s a POS.
The Desert fronts always seemed really skaty on anything but sand. The Baja was a much better all round tyre. Could be that the Deserts are designed for mouse tubes and the Baha is not, hence the massive Baja sidewalls.

Championship will be interesting, seems very level at this point, no RC checking out and making it boring.
What about round 3, anyone got a live stream to point us to?

yes they came with a 112 main, was supposed to be replaced by the 175 in PD but the 165 is the go for a stocker.

That hummer sticks two fingers in the air to the Euro teams 4wd hi-tech mega dollar outfits. I’m not saying it’s a cheap truck but it’s basically using trophy truck technology and adapting it for Dakar.
Robbie is arrogant but so straight shooting it’s hard not to like him.
Makes you appreciate how fast the trucks are when it takes him a while to out run one.

Need to change the suggested main to a 165 and the float height to 18mm, they dribble fuel out at 16mm

Thanks for the heads up Al.
The 6″ chippers are supposed to be for 18-35hp. I might need to put a little hair dryer on a little tractor

I tried the y6 and y2 needle jets in the engines I have seen, extreme rich and extreme lean. The y4 is the only one that’s close.
Where did you buy this bike? Wasn’t an ex race bike with a modified flywheel for a vortex ignition and the ignition has been swapped back?
At 4000 rpm you should only have 25 degrees of advance with 33 total at 5500.
Can you pop the alt. cover off and take a photo of the pickup bar on the flywheel?

From that it could be a bit lean, have you tried going bigger on the main?
I’m no TM40 expert but i did find them very course in jetting changes, what would be a small change on an FCR was a leap on the TM40.
I’ll try and find the jetting i used on the last few i have done, didn’t have any detonation issues.
