Well I went for a ride this avo,on my own ,as usual,on the same tracks as usual,,,but i couldn’t get this guy out of my head,,every time I started to loosen up and get into it, the thought of this poor bugger laying in the bush poped into my head,,kinda stuffed the ride.
I’v got my own shit with this kind of thing,,,this time last year I had a bad off, broke my shoulder and stuffed both my hands pretty bad,, I could not ride at all. Lucky for me it was an OBT ride and needless to say the guyes got me out of there and back to the safety of the pub. So being injerd and out of action on the ground is still pretty fresh in my minde.
Like Scotty said a spot tracker is not the total solution,,,But,,,thinking about that day that I got busted up,if no other riders were there, would I have felt better with a tracker on me? I think so. At least I could walk,,,but it could have just as easily been a leg.
Any way I think that you just have to be mindfull of this without letting it effect your ride to much. Boony, riding with frends is the best,,,,but not always an option for some of us. I’d love to move up into your neck of the woods.
    Cheers Teza.

Yes,It’s a sade fact,,,,but if I didn’t ride alone,I would never ride at all. I ride at least weekly and always on my own,I tell my wife before I leave, and carry a phone,,thats it,,but I am always mindful that I am out there on my own,and for the most part ride under my limit,,,,but not allways. I , like most of us ,I’m sure, ride for the fun and the joy of it,,,and it is not a safe sport,,,,,,tearing through the trees and rocks at speed,,shit can happen,,and I love it.

Goodo, thanks Ollie,,,I didn’t want to force it ,just incase,,It could use a new one pretty soon i recon,,I remember reading on here that you could fit a DRZ one on,and is a better unit, but not too sure, cose they are $200. new from Sydney City Motocycles,,but anyway I’d rather pay that than be stuck in a gully with no kicker.
    Thanks Teza.

    Go the Blue

and then u could come to my place for a ride and i could have a try

The WR beat the Crf to the punch of blowing up Bob. After now getting used to electric start I will not look at a bike without it. I still kick start my Crf but it is where you are in a prick of a spot where it it is worth its weight in gold!! So no WR250 2T for me even if it is free!! Sorry Mr blue.

Yeh! I know about that, prick of a spot thing. :P I’m still riding the RMX and pretty much liking it,,it go’s good,,but the other day I stalled it on the top of a three step rocky ledge with the back weel hanging over the top ledge,I had to clamber of the bike n get down on the ledge below n with the bike on it’s side lift the back of it up on top,so i could pick it up n start it.With a button,I could have just hit it n rode on,,,but the good thing is,that 250 smokers are ezy to kick and are pretty light to pick up. :)

I ride from my house with a combo of bush n tar for about 14 k’s then hit the good aria down at the end of Wederburn. you can spend a good couple of hours in there with tracks of all kindes, form tight singles to rock climbes to flowing windey trails with burms on most corners. It’s Crown land but hasn’t been mantained for years,so the tracks are all heavely eroded,,,,just as we like. :P
I know that cops have hit un regos there, but never heard of a rego rider’s being stung,,,I’v been riding there a lot in the last six months and haven’t seen em at all.
Any way it’s a top place which I’d love to share, and you could eazily make it into a biger day for probably just a few riders.
Hope that im doing the rite thing here
    Cheers teza.

OK I’m on top of this stinky helmet thing ;) All i realy got around to doing was spraying it with “underarm deoderant “and let it dry out each time,it still gets totaly soaked each ride, with my head in it,but no longer smells at all, it works a treat.
    Happy days.
