The main reason I’d like a lighter bike is ,easier to pick up of the ground,HA! got short legs, and oh yeh! I have thrown it down a cupla times.

Yeh! all the new bikes are so light,,I was looking at a husky TE 510 yesterday at the bike shop, and I couln’t beleve how light it was, more like a 125. Suto’s also had a brand new 2010 300 Kato for ten,,, But sadly I dont have the coin for a new bike, probably more like 7 K tops, including what I get for the RMX.

Must say, I’m into this thred. I too am looking for a good all round 400/500 to replace the old 98 RMX, and weight is an issue, as im not a big guy and on the wrong side of 50, a light bike is the go I’m thinking. But it seems there are a lot of considerations??? Just want to finde something the is nice to ride with some go in it, that dosn’t want to kill you on a slipry down hill.
Not trying to hijack this thred Corey8,just interested.
    cheers Teza.

Well been watching this thred with interest,,,but sadly will not be coming along. After a nasty off at the last Hamton ride,Im pretty much just geting back into it,,,still riding the old RMX,,but not up to speed for a two day ride, and not on this bike. I’v got a good 4by that I could get out there in, but it’s a wagon set up for touring, and not much space for carrying gear, other wise I would have put my hand up for a suport vehicle just to help out and to be there.
So I’l just have to settle for the ride report and pics.
So I wish everone a safe ride and a great weekend,,,,have a blast.
    Cheers Teza.

You don’t have to do the full ride either Tez, there will be shorter loops after lunch on Saturday and again on Sunday morning I think. Come on tez, ya know you want to :woohoo: 👿

Yeh your right there Jeffro,I’d love to. Been geting some local tracks in but the wife still hates that old smoker,,calls it the pig,,it kinda is a pig,but it’s the only pig iv got to ride at the moment,it still hates going down slippry hills HA!
Still looking for a new bike though.
    cheers Teza.

Tezza if you wish to come up for the nights festivities you are welcome mate, the new camp site is very easy to get to and find. If you have a tow bar I have a trailer at Blaxland where you will drive through to get there that you could tow up with the prizes and generator etc in it would be a big help. just drop it of on the way back, no need for an early start just grab it on you way up mid morning, interested

    TB

Yeh! I’d be up for that,, the only thing is looking at my work calender, they;v got me booked in for a job at Bexley at 9.00am,I should be out of there and home at campbelltown at about midday,so could be at blaxland by say 2,00pm to pick up the trailer if thats any good to you????

Checked my cable and all was ok. I gave it a good lube and I’m going to order a spare and cable tye it next to the fitted one just in case it fails on the trail.

Hi Nick,I think if yu going to go to the trouble to zip tye the new cable to the old one ,just fit the new one n be done with it…Better to be able to do the work in yu shed than out in the bush.

I make the efort to get down to the local cenotaph on Anzac day for the dawn service, and it is very hartening to see a lot of yong faces in the crowd, even on those rainy cold mornings.
I think that a lot of them do appreciate the huge sacrifices made by the diggers,so they can enjoy the good life the we have here, and so should we all.

Yeh! you’l have a ball on the dunes, there’s some good steep ones to have a rip on down the quad end to.
The one thing that quads are good for, out side of agg work,,,Dunes.
