Im very close to a comeback Murph,

but unfortunately i will be moving into the new house this weekend :woohoo: :S :(

its a shame you are heading away after this ride but im sure you will have a great trip from what you said on our last ride.

beware of those big fish, there have been heaps of school fish around over the last few weeks. i was surfing in a school of mullet a week ago and had a couple of little sharks swim under me, they looked pretty full.

another decent size noahs ark was out on sunday, even all the hard blokes paddled in.

if your ride gets rained out and your got nothing better to do feel free to do a load on my big ride :woohoo:

diddel that goes for you too 😆

    cheers

The only time i have ever broken down in the bush was when i fouled a plug on the two smoker bout 2 kays from the cars at the end of a 90 kay ride. It was the first ride i ever did with Diddel. Which makes it an unusual event as its usually Diddel who breaks downs and requires maintenance.

any how after we tried some towing methods that failed we pushed the c*nt out. Diddel did most of the work while i sat on the bike pretending to try and run start it.

the point im trying to make is always carry a Diddel. :woohoo:

There young, fit and silly enough to push you out of any situation. :silly:

you could buy 3 new bikes for that money Diddel. imagine the amounts of electrical tape and orange juice bottles you could buy to use as parts on your bike.

Got some sort of enthusiasm problem (I’m blaming beers at christmas) atm not even sure if I’ll be out tomorrow :S.

fitter schmitter  ive got no mechanical skills what so ever and i blew out and realigned my pipe using “special home made tools” .

    you really dissapoint me Duddle.

get of the grog man :S

if only i could follow my own advice been on a seven day bender. :(

the missus tallied up the amount of drinks ive had over the past seven days, between the scotches and beers.

as i said to her, only alcoholics count their drinks  i even cramped in the surf today at the 3 hour mark.

if i can stop the bender tomorrow i will be up for a ride on wednesday.

ourimbah, 90 kays of hard trails :woohoo:

Its young non drinking Diddelmiester (the one who slept clean through last Saturdays ride) I’m worried about ;) ;)
    Murph

Well not quite, woke at 05:30 to some light and thought this isn’t 04:00!
I drank on saturday night , two whole VB’s :woohoo:.

    Diddel,
once again im a little dissapointed in you. I look up you as a role model. ;)
dont fall into the nasty grips of peer pressure and start drinking just cause everyone is giving you a hard time for not doing so at age 18.

i wish i had stayed off the grog when i was young and even now.

i just think of how things could have been different for me. :(

i wouldnt of had wild drunken brawls, spent nights in the lockup, multiple wild sexual encounters with stray women :woohoo:

hang on. they were some of the best times of my life. shit im off to get another beer

The foam sounds like the go but it would also act as a dust catcher too and would need to be cleaned every other ride me thinks ;)

That sounds a bit steep for a battery  Then again I have not bought a car battery for a very long time.
Will be organising another ride in that area soon, still could add another 20kms or so. Might try and jump in on Motos ride around Xmas
    Cheers
    Murph

your meant to push down and clean the dust protection bellows/boot regularly any how. the foam is just a second form of defence if the dirt gets through the outer bellows. in the times i have cleaned it out i let 4 rides go by and there was not dirt in the foam. on another occasion i did 2 rides and found a couple of particles in there which means if there was no foam it would have most likely got up under the inner fork seal.

and $176 for a battery is steep. (lucky its a company car) :P
when the nrma patrolman turned up he wasnt too happy. you could tell he had been woken up at 5.30 in the morning to attend the call and had about 20min sleep prior to that. he was like a drunk clown that attends a kids party  angry and smelt like a brewery.
I asked him if he wanted to get a photo together putting the battery in but he declined for some reason
i got a call from his boss later in the day. seems the patrolman had forgotten to record any details of callout on his job sheet. All the boss had was my name and phone number. the boss was very grateful when i told him what job he had actually done.
