Yeah I’ve never been out that way really ever so its all a learning experience this year been the first year racing, cheers for sending the results, over the moon getting 4th and seeing I wasn’t far off 3rd makes me really keen for the next round, if only the smelly muddy black gully didn’t keep sending me unstuck Haha
Thank you for that tip too! I thought you had to pay when you entered and I wasn’t 100% sure how to do that, thank you for that
Now to close the 1 point gap in the overall to gain 3rd outright
Bundy the track was unreal! Haha must say the lap before you came out I was wondering if you forgot to put it out but when you finally came out I was one happy ironman haha
I’ll send my email address mate I’m very keen to see results and times ! I got to agree with the competition in ironman, I know I spent 3-4 laps fighting with a husaberg, deafinatly made it just that much more fun!
I’ll be at coolatai for sure mate, don’t know how or if they can top the track out there
Cheers for the input guys about the valve chrisis.
As at the moment $$ and time is a little bit of an issue I’m worried to pull the head off and put new valves in to find the seats are flogged out, I see kibblewhite valves on eBay but I thought I’d ask you guys if these are the real deals ? Also should I do my valve springs while there ?
If I’m going to do a rebuild I wouldn’t mind raising the compression ratio 1:12.5, anyone know if I need to change me jetting to suit this mod?
Cheers guys
G’day mate welcome to the forum, plenty of us Tamworth blokes getting around, be seeing you on a ride soon
Yeaaap I shall be taking on the ironman challenge yet again …why ? I got no idea haha
So does what does this mean for people that already own a husaburg ? Will you still be able to get parts ?
singletrackmind wrote:It seems that standard KTM’s have become the base model. The 6 day is the model with the decent fork and the significantly higher price tag and the Berg has it all at a lower price. Why would anyone shopping for one of these buy the KTM over the Berg?STM
Good sir you have raised a valid point and may have saved me from team orange … unless Honda bring out a 350 I’m jumping ships … this Honda one is sinking with the prehistoric set up
Is it worth the extra $$ you reakon ?
So can a KTM fernatic please explain something
Looking at the 350exc-f on the KTM page and saw their is a 6 day extreme model this year, so I did a comparison between the 2 350’s and on paper they are exactly the same, except the normal 350 has 8mm more travel in the front forks ?
Just interested to know what the actual difference is besides the cosmetic stuff
G’day mate
Looking at the goggles, I like the red frame and strap goggles with the orange lense .. the picture background is also black if that helps … what option do I put in to get it?
Nickj wrote:rookie , did you find the 450 tiring on trail rides before you changed the gearing?Nick
I found in the tighter sections it took a lot more effort to corner smoothly and under control, also found on the hills it kept wanting to brake traction
Now with the 14t the power is a lot more predicatable and traction is unbeatable … but by no means is it tame Hahaha you snap that throttle and you hang on
Awesome review and owning one myself I agree completely
I found to tame the motor a bit to stop the snappyness I put a 14 tooth on the front, makes the power much more usable in the single line tracksAre the 250 kato’s really that bad ?
Agh geez looks good ! Maybe next year but
racing at uralla
cheers for that LC,
might have to look into getting to that weekend … odd that we dont have more rounds of it but
