The EBC will out last the chinese 3 to 1 everyday of the week. If you do lots of riding and consider yourself a hard braker buy a known better brand worth it in the long run, like cheap pads

    TB

dont get me started on cheap brake pads ! made that mistake once and never again !

will look in EBC as well

another question now that i think about it, the adaptor plates for the over sized rotors, are they the same between the crf450 R and X ? like will a R plate fit on a X ? just curious im trying to do the research myself and its doing my head in

go the oversize rotor you wont regret it you can recalibrate the vapor unit and also get a magnetic bolt pickup from trailtech. I got an oversize unit off ebay for my Gasser with the 07 CRF front end About $150 delivered.
racedisk also make excellent discs they are a UK based mob and also on Ebay.

Maybe able to recalibrate the speedo. Most electronic ones I have had anything to do with have been able to have the pulse count changed

    TB

the only calibration i know of TB is for the outside diamitar of the front wheel, been thinking about it a fair bit and i may have an idea on how to get around this problem, i should be able to mount the sensor on the adaptor plate and that will get me out of trouble hopefully

    once again cheers guys

Hey mate I bought an Artrax oversized full floating front rotor from Sutto’s about 12mths ago and it is still going strong. It came complete with bracket to mount caliper at a reasonable price. Just finished the longest day ride and and all good using Braking sintered pads.

    Cheers,
    Lefty ;)

i have been tempted to throw an oversize on the front but im worried that if i do that my speedo wont work ( got one of those vapour tech speedos that run off a sensor and magnetic bolt on the front brake ) dont know if anyone has already found a way around this ?

    cheers for the info

hahaha yes this is probly the worst thing about the CRF’s ! i dread doing my air filter for this exact reason

just getting the bloody thing out of the air box is a struggle ! let alone back in

once you get the air filter in, pull the filter to the rear of the air box untill you can see where the wing nut screaw has to go into, try and line up the screaw then push the filter on and hopefully it should line up pretty close

OR put the filter on and jiggle the wing nut screaw around till you find the hole … but that gets fustrating quick

    hope i helped
