Im fitting a $9000 Strapon toolbox to the back of the xl at the moment.
I had to replace the rear shock with a piece of wood, just hope Merv doesn”t try to set it on fire!.adam wrote:I did another 140k’s Friday and Saturday at Wingello SF.Travelled all over the place still running 10psi front and 11psi rear. Ripped a couple of knobs off the front on some of the rocky hills but other than that no problems.
Adam.
Thats not all you ripped off at Wingello !

Im glad you posted a picture, now the boss can see I really did go riding.
Shame you had to put on a photo of me before I got a speck of dirt on my gear.
Also is it just me or does my bike look small?:unsure:No but your bum looks big
I thought all those times you were behind me you were just looking out for me!
I think I will stick with the XL & swap the front end, I understand that it won’t make that much difference but Im unstable enough already plus the XR has had a hard life.
I once fitted a XT600 motor in a TZR250 (because I enjoy a challenge) that was enough engine swapping for me.Thanks that was quick!
The guy next door wanted me to rebuild the motor for him, but on the weekend he siezed it, so now he is going to buy another bike. He only paid $800 for it with rego so I will see how much he wants for it.Thanks Micknmeld.
It makes it so much easier to see the exact part when ordering. Saves getting that blank expression from behind the counter at the bike shop.

May have to pay full price
Nick I have no problems starting also, first go almost every time, as long as you let it know who is the boss. I even ride it to work when ever I can.
Thanks Rebore, my XL used to be Mervs until he decided to exercise his thumb instead of his right leg.
I just love riding no matter what it is, though i must admit its hard to kick start on soft ground or on a slope.
I will keep my eyes out for some easy rides until i get used to the dirt. -
