Thanks to one and all that helped with this ride. I know there would be a hell of a lot of hours setting, pre running, organizing accommodation etc etc etc, it is really appreciated.
A special thanks as well to flying fish for running the Nav Newbies on Saturday, it helped build confidence with the whole Navigating thing, and also to Eagle and Ace for letting me tag along with them todayAll the sponsors ADV Moto, Yamaha etc thanks to you as well.
It was my first Nav ride and I had an absolute ball. The royal donkey performed very well indeed, alot better than I had anticipated.
Couple of quick pics, I need a shower and some sleep.
I will also do a more detailed report soon……Waiting for the ferry on Saturday morning
View from the motel Sunday morning
View from the lookout on Sunday’s ride
So I am home, had dinner, bike washed and ready for the next nav ride
Now, some people have said I am mad, washing bikes as soon as I get home, no matter what the time.
I can see their point, but its easier to do it straight away before the dirt has baked on
TO these people I would say this…. you think I am mad??? check Tryhard’s lunch from Today
You kept me laughing all weekend mate, thanks
Its finally here :woohoo: :woohoo:
See you up there mate, look forward to meeting you
Sorry JTB, kinda hijacked your thread unintentionally, will buy you a beer on Saturday night
Yeh I know how you feel, They are turning our network off at work tomorrow about 9 o’clock, then I will have to sit around for a couple hours not able to do anything…….. how slow is that going to go
Might leave at 11 instead of 12 and go to ballards first
Need anything?sure do mate, take one for a run, you might love it
Good call USI,
My spot will be on too.

My misses cant understand why I dont get this excited when she drags me shopping
Massive difference between a DRZ400 and any of the 450’s.
My 350 would hose a DRZ power wise……….. rider is another story :blink:EAGLE`02 wrote:I have mine up to 20 front & 24 rear can always drop a tad out if you feel the need then TR.
You will no doubt be feeling your way into it on Sat mateSee you there :woohoo:
Need to calm myself down a bit mate if I am going to feel my way into it, as JTB said ealier IM EXCITED
Can’t wait, one more sleep
You still looking at 6 – 6.30?Thanks Jeffro, I was going to ask that tomorrow night (tyre pressures). I am used to running 14 – 16 but figured the bigger bikes needed more, wasn’t sure how much more
Hi –h–,
I have no problem power wise, has plenty all the way thru.
Its not a 450 but it gets going ok, depends on what type of riding you are doing.
Its awesome in the singles and keeps up in the open stuff
I am 95kg on a good dayHi –h–,
I have a 2013 KTM 350 EXC-F, 1000kms, so far no problems other than rider induced issues :blush:yz80h-thebeginning wrote:Nice read now am more annoyed I am missing it
will have to catch up for a ride down here in the future, enjoy the ride! Thanks YZ, I am sure there will be plenty of pics and ride reports to keep you going till the next one
No worries JTB.
I live in the Penrith area, we can tee something up over the weekendWhat time do you think you and Bucky will arrive at breckenridge tomorrow?
I will be there about 4 – 4.30 and could whip the wheels off the now famous XR and bring them up with me.
If you guys are going to be there a early I would be happy to run through it with you.I am no expert or the fastest at it but I can show you how to get the job done.
The shop where I buy my tyres from fit will them free, but I take them home and do it myself using only what I carry on the bike. -
