Cheers, thanks TB.
I run michelin UHD tubes at 14 – 16 psi depending on the terrain, havent had a flat in ages, last one was about 4 years ago from some fencing wire that was about 4 mm thick.
I can see how they would work for a pro or someone running in the 4 day, finke etc, but for your average trail hack (me) i dont think they are necessary.
just mhoI thought I said I was going for a look
New Leatt GPX Trail brace and a Leatt pressure suit to suit. Its not the EOFYS its actually their birthday sale but its still 10% off.
Got a few other bits as well and all up saved about $80 bucks.
Will pay for the fuel to newy on the way to the birthday rideHi gazza, A flappa disc on a 4″ grinder will tidy that up nicely if you are fussy.
They have them at bunningsWent to MCA, :pinch: got a Leatt neckbrace, (finally took snowy’s advice), new pressure suit to match, new front tyre for the KTM (birthday ride) and some how I noticed that the clutch lever was shorter than it used to be  so I collected a new one of those too.
New pants, gloves and socks for Joshy (11) and home in time for the V8’s
Busy day in the cave tomorrowHey All,
If you havent heard MCA is having there annual EOFYS from now till June 30.Might be a good time to grab a brace at the right price
Going to go down and have a look at a Leatt and some armour to go with it today.
The omega wont work with my current armour
Happy birthday Krusty, another one lucky enough to have it on Friday.

have a great weekend all and come home in one piece :blink:snowy09 wrote:BUYER BEWAREBy having no restrictionon the front of the brace you are risking the most dangerous over movements of the neck – hyperflexion.
In severe hyperflexion of the spine, the transverse ligament of the Odontoid process can be disrupted allowing the peg to move posteriorly and compress the spinal cord. This injury is termed acute atlanto-axial instability which is a very unstable injury. Similarly unstable injury occurs with hyperflexion and axial loading causing a flexion teardrop fracture, most commonly at the level of C5. The inferior part of the posterior fragment can be seen to displace relative to the vertebra below.
But dont worry if it happens youll probably never have to worry about it -ever again
Just my opinion though – just like a ktm theres no proof it can be relied on.
Point taken Snowy, from my understanding the sides of the brace are supposed to prevent your head from extending too far forward, but I am no expert and havent seen one in the flesh. I have already ordered one so when it arrives I will give it a try and report back.
Hi Budge,
I haven’t heard of this brand for a while, we used to use them years ago (15 – 20) because they were cheap and also a mate had an XR350 which had a 17″ rear so choices were limited.
They used to last reasonably well over rocky, harsh terrain but not up to the grip levels of more expensive tyres.I didn’t know that they were still around
