Its a yami, only blu will do!!
Beer, Motorbikin’ vids, shed time looking at bike, miss universe re runs, etc etc 😆
Hi Razzle,
to hear that you injured yourself, 6 – 8 off the bike sux.
Hang in there mate, start counting days, it will fly past if you keep checking OBT and stay positive
I’m sure it will be worth the wait!!No worries TB will get a pic tonight and post it up.
I will also let you know more about the porblems Ive had with the knee braces once the shop finally comes up with an answer.Hi Guys,
As promised I said I wuold let you know how I went with the vest.
First ride last weekend, quite hot and humid on the south coast NSW.I rode the same tracks as last time, about the same temp, maybe a fraction hotter.
The vest seemed to work ok, not like riding in an air conditioned room but a definate improvment.
I kepped topping it up by taking it off and pouring cold water on it every time we stopped, 3 times in 8 hours, and i could notice the difference when I put it back on straight away.I still got hot on some nasty singles when I was struggling (short legs, no talent) but it was definately better than last time and I cooled off alot quicker once I got going again.
I would recommend one for anyone who suffers in the heat like I do, it only cost $80 and I cant see it wearing out in a hurry.
Hi Snowy,
QBE for me!!Its cool Jeffro, we all have an opinion, thats what OG is after
Hello Old Girl,
I would advise to you the same as I do anyone who is new and wanting to have a bit of a go to learn what its all about.Yes a KTM / WR 250F are good all round bike but they require alot of maintenance, don’t really like crashing, and cost a bit to repair.
I think when starting out a TTR250 or even an older XR 250 are an excellent place to start.
Low seat height, nice easy to use 4 stroke power, NO RADIATORS to damage when you fall over, long engine rebuild intervals, longer service intervals, easy to work on etc etc etc.The TTR also has electric start so I would go with one of those.
Once you a flogging that to a point that you want to go faster but it won’t and your not falling over so much, then you can look at stepping up – it will be time for the berg
Hi Maso,
Cool let me know when he is ready as I am seriously thinking about starting to do a bit of this kinda riding.Cool, thanks for the heads up TB ………..gotta get me an adventure bike
anyone selling a DR650??I’m all paranoid now
Going to get a seperate alarm installed in the garage next week, and make some more ground anchors so each bike has it’s own.
Hey Bulls,
I dont live in that area but thanks for the heads up anyway!!You gotta hate these scum bags huh
Would love to catch some in the act
If people didn’t buy the stolen bikes then the scumbags wouldn’t steal them but good luck stopping that!!I guess thing we could all do is if you are offered a cheap bike then report it to the local boys in blue, it might stop someones pride and joy being nicked somewhere down the line.

Yeh I’m gonna get something else, if they do replace them the will be spares or sold.
If the rep wont do anything the best thing that the dealer could do would be to take what i spent on these off of whatever I replace them with as I am sure that they will be dearer :ohmy:Not likely to happen, so I guess its not likely that I will be spending any more cash there!

I tried to go through the Aussie importer but had calls not returned , texts ignored , emails ignored. I wrote an email to Asterix USA and explained the problem , I got a return email instantly with an apology and 1 week later I received a box with not only the replacement part but with all the spares I’d every need to rebuild them. Great service and some very concerned managers in the US questioning the Aussie distributors ability to look after their product.I dont know where 661 comes from but I’d suggest maybe taking this avenue and look overseas for better service as 661 is a good product , I have their armor after STM recommended it ( his lasted over 3 years and he’s a sweaty bugger
).
Good luck
Thanks Nick, I have tried emailing 661 in the states with no response.
Good to see that you were looked after, I am considering some of the Asterix ones, will buy from a different dealer or direct from the statesNick

I have already decided to try something else as I am not holding out any hope of a resolution.
A few Old Bulls seem to be using the Asterix ones, I will just go back to my trusty old ones till I decide which ones I want. -
