See you there Axel
:woohoo:
Looks schmick Polly good job!!
I am loving mine, can’t wait till the next ride :ohmy:I went to store to buy a program, it was $99 at the time.
After talking to the sales guy we quickly figured out that my laptop wouldn’t cope and i needed a new one. After I agreed to buy a $2500 new laptop he was kind enough to throw pinnacle in for free
Not sure about the newer versions but I reckon I probably only use about 30% of what it can do.
Looking at the output side of the program you can output to a file (instead of a disc) if you want in MP4 so I’m sure you would be able to import in MP4I know what you mean about Sydney mate, I now live only 8 kms from work and normally takes me about 12 mins each way
not lucky enough to be able to ride singles on my way to work and again on the way home like someHi Murph,
1) I record in 720 just because it uses a bit less memory and you can get more minutes of riding on the DVD.
2) I dont use a firewire, I just stick the SD card straight into the lappy and open pinnacle.
3) I’m not sure on this one as my camera records in AVI already, let me have a look at pinnacle tonight and get back to you, I don’t think you will have to convert it though. If you going to be in sydney anytime soon your welcome to call in and have a play before you buy it if you like. Otherwise I am riding Kowen forest again this year, if you are going to be there I could bring it with me.
Happy birthday LC, have a great day mate
Murph the surf wrote:Another question
Do you have to import straight from the camera or can you put the footage onto your computer and import into “Studio” from there?
Thinking about buying Pinnacle Studio 14 from ebay. $69I put my SD card out of the camera into the PC and go from there.
I can also leave the SD card in the camera and use the lead to join it to the PC.Hi Murph,
I use a drift HD1070 cam, records in some odd format not MP4 , so i had to get a program to edit and convert the footage so it could be read on a dvd player.
I can watch the footage as is on the PC but could not edit it and it would not work on the DVD player.
I use Pinnacle Studio 14 to do it.
It is a little confusing to start with but once you get the hang of it, it works well.
It does heaps more than I do with it, I’m just using the basics to trim the boring bits out, add titles and sound effects and then burn to DVD.
Takes me about 1 hour to edit the footage down to fit on the DVD(whole days ride), then the program takes around 1 minute per minute of footage to convert it.
As yours is already in MP4 you might not need to convert it??Just ordered the PHDS handle bar damping system for it.
bloody hard parts book
2 new hoops last weekend on the Kato, ready for next ride.
Just come in from the shed after putting the DT donk back together.
New Piston, Crank rebuilt, re bore, transmission bearings etc etc.The things we do for love……………
The love of bikes that is :laugh:Hey Aido,
I paid 12,200 for mine, stock bike on the road, but then spent another 2,500 on it before i got it, protection gear, plastics, graphics, fan, pivot pegz etc etc etc.For me it was not about the cheapest price but more about the dealer who I thought would be best for me. I had a cheaper price closer to home and ended up traveling about 100k each way further because i was happy with the dealer.
Hi Rach,
if you and any other less experienced OBT’s are feeling cautious, I would be happy to be a sweep for you guys for a lap.
I have been reading about your ride the other weekend when old girls bike dropped its lunch, great ride reports, sounds like you had fun and are willing to have a go!
If you get a group together I am happy to help if needednot saying that you wouldn’t cope but if it puts you guys at ease at all then I’m happy.
Anything to promote our sport is cool with me!!Another event you may consider if you enjoy Kowen forest is the Sunny Corner Rally.
I have done it 4 times now and I love it, can’t wait till my boys are old enough to do it with me
Its usually on in September, this year’s date has not been announced yet as far as i know. Thanks Galey, I’ll keep an ear out for you guys.
