Bike is unreal I love it. Power is so nice for the kind of riding I do / my ability.
I ride mostly tight singles and right off the bottom is got enough torque to get you out of all tricky situations.
All my riding buddies are upset cause there getting hosed now ;)

in reply to: Transport Dilemma #233021

    Hi Wardy,
i have a dual cab vw transporter and a bike trailer.
That way if I only have two bikes they can go on the vw and all the gear on the back seat.
if i have 3 bikes / riders we take the trailer with all the gear in the back of the vw (2.4 x 2m tray) covered with a tarp.
Vw is awesome, fits 5 big blokes no problem, all under the back seat is storage plus tray etc.
Also with the big tray you can use it for other jobs when your not carting bikes.

    Works for me ;)

Mowed the lawn today, and after doing so I sat down and had a couple nice cold beers. The day was really quite beautiful, and the brew facilitated some deep thinking on various topics. Finally I thought about an age old question:
Is giving birth more painful than getting kicked in the Nuts?
Women always maintain that giving birth is way more painful than a guy getting kicked in the nuts. Well, after another beer, and some heavy deductive thinking, I have come up with the answer to that question.
Getting kicked in the nuts is more painful than having a baby; and here is the reason for my conclusion A year or so after giving birth, a woman will often say, “it might be nice to have another child.” On the other hand, you never hear a guy say, “You know, I think I would like another kick in the nuts.”
    I rest my case

Thanks for the tips guys, never really thought about being back by 11 or so and calling it a day, but it’s worth a try.
We normally head out around 8 and not back till 4 or 5 and i really struggle in the heat. i’m quite happy riding at -6 witn just a jersey no jacket but once its getting near 30 i’m toast
Will give the early finish a go B)

    Hi Guys,
Report after 1st ride on the 350 – AWESOME!
bike is great i loved it, suits the way I ride perfectly.
I can’t wait for another opportunity to go for another ride on it :)
Probably won’t ride it again this year – too hot, but bring on Feb / march ;)
I guess I’ll need a hat, t shirt, beanie etc in orange…….. or white and silver
Thanks for all the advice on setting it up and choosing the best bike in the first place!
Hope to see you out there……….

in reply to: Wheel Bearing Problem #232058

    Hi LC4,
there are some really good Loctite bearing retaining compounds that will take up the difference up to around 1.5mm in diameter. You can use 603 or 609 Loctite for the job. :)
Judt make sure that is is really clean before you apply it , there is a proper cleaner/primer but brake clean will do the trick.

The hub could be welded and re machined but that probably wouldn’t be much cheaper than a new hub if at all. :(

Thanks Adam, I’m hearing ya mate!!
No plans to change exhaust, i just thought it might be nice to be able to turn it down a wick when you get on a slippery section on a wet day? but your right, i’ll try it standard first and see how we go.
Just gettin a little excited :)
