Thanks for your thoughts Moto,
Dealer checked the sag when i was there last weekend and said it was ok – just. I probably prefer it a little softer and lower as I am just a simple trail riderI am 85 Kgs, sometimes 😆 I have heard previously that it needs to be spot on with the PDS, so I guess ill take for a run and see how it goes……
Hi Adam,
Thanks for the heads up on the wheel bearings / seals – gotta pull the wheels off any to put ultra tubes in.
i’ve already given the hard parts book , and my bank acc, a floggin’ so i’m gonna have a heap of fun before i even get on it!!
Will post some pics next week once she is ready to goGreat topic, get you thinking.
Would have to be Mr reliable 1994 XR 250.
Didn’t do anything very well but I owned it for 10 years, club raced in enduro and motocross and trailrode it as well.
Just do the airfilter each ride and put it away!! Get it out for the next ride and after 1 or 2 kick it was ready to be flogged again!I still own an ’89 model that I leave at the farm and a rego’d ’92 that just may see another run at sunny corner this weekend.
I rode ot at sunny corner last year and had a hoot :laugh:Hi Boss,
Sorry about that, I sure am excited, haven’t had a ride for about 6 weeks!!
I will be sure to say hi to Chris!!Hi Moto, TB and guys,
I’m not sure about the paper that the warranty is written on but with my local dealer there has never been an issue with any warranty problem, one time the bike was actually just out of warranty (2 months) and they fixed it free anyway.
With my 2011 310 i find the lack of any flywheel inertia makes it a little more difficult in tight single track. I have changed the gearing, had the 12 hole injector but in, got a barrett pipe on and had them play with the map and all these things helped.
I was hoping that the 350 would have some more torque, right off idle, for when you are in the real tight nasty trails, so you can chug it a bit more.
the 310 is awesome once you are up around 30+ kph, suspension is great as well once you are on the boil but in the real tight walking pace stuff you gotta be on and off the clutch constantly.
Coming off 450’s it can be frustrating being on the starter all the time!!
Other factor with the husky is getting aftermarket hot up bits.
They’re just not around like the kato and your always waiting for them, up to 5 weeks for a sticker kit!!Hi Heals,
I have a 2011 TE310, its a good bike, i’ve had no problems with it.
Previously had an ’07 TE450 and an 09 TE450.
The 310 is definately easier to throw around and control in the real tight single trail, without having to clutch the crap out of it.(250).
I have the new injector which made a difference, and changed the gearing a little 13/52 once the originals wore out.
Also had the forks tuned more to my speed now she’s a sweet ride!! -
