Not good to hear Jason. Hoping you get back on the bike sooner rather than later.
I suggest you retire the Rossies before you get a second stick.
Hey, look on the bright side – I wish a sweet little nurse paid me a visit at home twice a day!
Guys (and gals),
Here is some video of the start of the rolling race. Apols for the delay – rostered on this w/e.
No video of the end of the race.
I pulled up and got the camera out in readiness where the guys were SUPPOSED to have finished, only for them to keep on rolling. By the time I packed my kit and rode another 300 m further down it was as good as all over Red Rover. Congratulations again to XRtrailhack (Jason). Sorry Ross but it’s a new record I reckon.
Will start on the whoops video after dinner. Tim100, I can see why you’re keen to see it … nice little bunny-hop!
Watch this space ….

Quote:Great photos paul and thanks once again you could charge for your tour services one of the best rides that I have done.I will try not to stack as much next time lucky my honda is as tuff as nails :woohoo:HaHa … being paid to miss turns (a-la Koala Trail). Not good for business.
Mate, if you changed your riding technique you’d have to change your user name as well.
Thanks for the comic relief throughout the day.
… yes, yes, coming dear …

Quote:Nice work TW, any way to get the videos up hereWill start on them tomorrow night Tim. Have promised to watch a movie tonight with my wife.
What’s that? ….. coming dear. :dry:No, this rain is ideal guys. It’s the dust settler that we’ve been waiting for.
I’ve been watching its progress throughout the evening on the radar map. Should be all gone by midnight (Murph you can stop dancing now thanks).
Have a look: http://www.bom.gov.au/products/IDR041.loop.shtml#skip
There is a boggy section of trail early on in the ride. Those that like mud will have a ball there.
Hopefully Lynches trail won’t have any fallen trees with this wind. If the trusty hand saw won’t do the job there is always the alternate route.
Mudrat, might ask that you pack your chainsaw thanx.

Hi Ross, I was waiting for you to bite.
How’d that shirt go – could it stretch over that tummy of yours?
(yes, yes, I know: Winners are grinners, the rest can ….)

morgo…. and Sam makes 12.
Yes nice video. Good images, lyrics and backing track.
I’m on the lookout for an unsigned artist for future ride videos. Stacey, if you read this, let’s do lunch. My treat.

Would this ride be OK for an old git with an XR600R?Might just be tempted to bludge one off if the her Highness the Minister for War and Finance can be conned by a foot massage later on…gets her guard down
Dave
Another slow old git who goes by the name of Training Wheels will be there, so I can’t see there being a problem.
Welcome to the fold.
… that makes eleven ….
A belated welcome aboard to XRTRAILHACK and +1.
Hi also to Tim100.
See you at The Pines Camping Area, RTR 9 am.
I will forward my mobile number onto those on the list, just in case you may be running late on the morning. Don’t do a ‘Ross’ – he rang up late from Monkey Face Lookout “Where the hell is The Pines Camping Area?” At least he had a phone, so there were no probs.
The rolling race / downhill race / dead bike race proved to be popular last time so it will be making an appearance again, this time with a prize for the winner and the loser (it’s been a while since I visited a $2 shop).
Thanks TB for the compliment. One thing I haven’t planned though is morning tea. The rolling race finishes about 1 km from the bottom of Hayes Road, Millfield (unless your name is Ross and you ride a ‘worked’ DRZ400). We will be there around 11 am. Would be a nice place for morning tea. I read ‘TB Caterers’ put on a good bbq the other day. If you are free on Friday, what say you meet us there and organise a smoko – coffee, tea and scones, nothing too fancy. For your efforts we will let you present the race prizes. Sounds good? See you there.

No worries Al. Catch up with you on our next ride.
…. and then there were nine ….
Hi All,
So far we have ten down for this ride. Ten’s a good number. My preference is to have no more than 12.
For those on the list, if there is a change of circumstance over the next couple of days that will prevent you from attending, I ask that you let it be known sooner rather than later so that others who may be interested in the ride can put their names down, rather than finding out at the last minute.
Latest forecasts for Friday look good – sunny, scattered showers. (insert crossed fingers here)

MurphConsider yourself pencilled in for the moment Murph.
Did the pre-ride on Saturday. Perfect conditions – no rain and no dust, 23 degrees. We were back at the cars at midday. Might add a bit more to the loop ….

Hi Al,
Added to the list.
I trust you had a good feed at the Heddon Greta hotel.
I’m checking the route tomorrow (Sat) with a couple of others, if you are interested.
RTR at The Pines 9am.
Others keen to brave the forecast scattered showers are welcome to attend. -
