 love flats murph (ill regret saying that)ive only ever had 4 flats and they have all been there
bundyroy did all the usual, part inflated etc putting the tube in,did a C.S.I on the #2 flat and couldn’t find anything in the tire, but with a partially inflated tube the hole was on the top around tread area,so its got me stuffed.
good practice though.
Not many pics as not many stops
Wish i was going STM i like the look of your track shots.
Bruce i think you summed it up
S/T = bikes only
S/L = one line but a 4×4 could fitMeeting 8am for 8.30 ride opp zig zag car park, plenty of spots left….
the list so far
Me
sb-250yall welcome looking approx 90k to 100k.
I’d have a look at basket wear Murph, have you ever filed the clutch basket fingers? the plates might be getting caught in the wear notches.Have similar issue every now and then.
I can ride any days this week sb and medogrocket, what day suits you both?
I agree on the one main line theory, evan it was a disused logging access road that closed over but bikes keep the main line going to a couple of tire widths. Like your shots STM.
And legal wise you can ride old forest roads that have closed on to be s/t’s,theres heaps of them around that 95% of 4×4’s won’t go down cause of fear of scratching their paint.
might head down the bus bay this arvo.
no probs Bundyroy, yeah i like loctite on stuff so the earth duplicate could be the go.
Searched for a pic so i could get the drift of things and came accross some tips they suggested,re tapping the 6mm case holes to improve earthing, and shimming the gears to reduce backlash, and sealing it with a breather hose and running oil on the gears. Ill try and link it.
Nice work, nothing like a cheap repeatable fix. Can you improve on the water proofing or spray clean/dry it after any wet weather?
Not long got back from the US,some stuff was heaps cheaper than us but some not so much.
I was in major electrical store looking to buy a helmet cam and says to the bloke wheres all your range as only had 1 real cam and he comes back with everyone just buys them online as they can’t be bothered leaving the house. So same things happening over there.
A mate from work is still waiting for sprockets and chains for his sons YZ85, waited so long that he has now purchased local or the bike wasn’t going anywhere.
Hatto,
You should have a wear limit in you manual for the disk thickness,i agree you can still run them when there grooved and trashed but it wears your pads on an angle and ends up wearing the caliper also.Husky wear limit front or back is .5mm with brembo’s should be the same as your KTM.
cheers
Must be plenty of them going by the amount of bikes flogged from the Hunter.
