No probs,rossco33 sounds like your halfway there, was thinking the plugs are taped up around the sub frame ? just in waiting for the wire section from the switch.
Not knowing if youve owned the yami since new or previous owner has removed the gear as they didn’t need the annual inspection until it was 5years old.
Mines all there shouldn’t be a prob, the horns gone but ive never had them check it on my last bike. Sometimes if you trailer it down they don’t check anything just numbers and k’s.
Your right about keeping the gear working being a challenge, blinkers are a struggle to keep in one piece, but i always keep the tail light going at least.
rossco33 there will be a flasher unit hiding there somewhere,i just had a quick look and theres wiring diagrams online. When you say no wires on the switch do you mean theyve torn off or there taped back up onto the harnesss through not needing them for inspections previously.
Either way your going to have to strip the plastics off and start looking at whats taped up.The brembo brake switches ive had have plug in wires so if you needing a solid wired unit you’ll be up for a new switch.
I’m in a similar situation gotta get my first inspection this year so have to put all the junk back on and see if works.
Bit of a fire trail section on the way back, always like this track for some reason, theres nothing hard about it,but good fun.
You can see my new steering damper absorb a hit, i replayed it at the end. Still not sure if i hit a rock or root was looking ahead and didn’t see anything but i think it did its job. Was running the higher settings i was using on the single track, so that answers one of my questions about finding a universal setting.
Shane and Murph, week day rides are tops love the lack of traffic out there, and it’s the pay off for when your driving to work or coming home from night shift on the weekends and you see a trailers full of bikes heading out or coming home.
Your right Murph i like to check out the ride reports at work it’s a good distraction,i mean only in designated meal breaks
Finally finished editing a clip of Tuesdays ride let me know if its worth the time to edit them to try and make a more interesting clip, get bored with watching some of my clips sometimes, they can look a bit the same.
Yeah the “real” big bores can do it easily, you just have to work for it. The good thing for a bloke with a piddly 7.5L tank is they have a huge range should i run out :S
We saw 4 bikes i think although our parking area was off the road so they didn’t see us, we were talking about Nav rally’s as well after i was asking a few questions about Scotty’s gps. I was thinking i could get some of this modern technology instead of just remembering tracks.
1 Litre that’s a lot, might be a long shot but on my fuel pump they can become unclipped from the base and the pump pick up lifts up a touch. What this does is reduce the fuel range and leave some behind.
All that was required is a new cable tie around the pump and the body where it clips in.
Cheers
Wolfie,
You could try going for a ride, hammer it or ride like you normally would for 20k or so and top it up with a measuring jug. Then work out how many k’s you travelled for the litres then work it out with your tank size. Then you’ll know the worst case and be able to estimate the range depending on the day.
Cheers
 He helped me up a hill once too.
Plan A meet at Clarence carpark 8.30 am and make up the rest when we meet up.
Good one Chris, when i didn’t pay any attention in high school in music i should have realised it would have been tops to play guitar a long time later and then theres groupies
Happy Birthday STM, How good is it getting bike related gifts ! :woohoo:
Same day as Old Bulls to……….
No probs Scotty,I have penciled you in .
spots are limited but ill hold one open for you if you can make it. :pinch:
That’s a bargain at $50 husky bloke, if I had a kato I’d snap that up.
Nice work Lefty,
It looks like its meant to be there, not in the way either nestled in there. Yeah I’m still hanging out to try mine.Im happy with mine, can always put it on another bike, one day I wouldn’t mind an adventure bike so could find a home there as well.
Look forward to reading your review Lefty, I like BRP stuff I’ve got a chain guide from them and it’s a good bit of gear.
This might mean more big name racers on huskys overseas. From what I’ve read they want husky to compete with the Japanese brands. A husky at Anaheim 1 in what year?
