Hi Gordo, i will give you a call to discuss the event and the suitability of my family (warning they ride noisy 2tmx, but are regular bush riders and are at home in that environment). Unit.
Hey Mick, its sunday night. Missed by 24 hours. Maybe next time!
April 10, 2013 at 1:10 pm in reply to: Old Bull Trailriders is celebrating its 5th Birthday 5th, 6th and 7th of July #239306Hi All
Now this Sounds to good to miss. A family event for the 4 boys and I.
UnitGot a reputation for not cleaning bikes, just gets water in your bearings and chain rollers – come on lets get serious!
The berg – just a dream! I could end up like you only with less finesse I need a truely linear power curve.
The avatar – an alterego? After ollie’s comments perhaps i could change and use dude’s portrait! (no offence Dude, i loved your photos and you even knew who i was – named and shamed) i thought you got to hide behind your avatar, helmet and goggles on the site and if you come late and leave early no one will ever know! Perhaps my next avatar will be???
Good luck with the recovery and if you need help to clean the berg give me a yell.

Hi Razzle
Really sorry to hear about the injury. Great effort to ride home mate. It would have been really easy to drive in and get you!! :huh:While your thinking about your protective gear give some thought to a car with a lower tray so its easier for your friends to load your bike when you bust yourself up! Really – a great effort you got back to your car!
As a good old bull i think it only right that i should offer to come up to Kempsey and take your bike for a ride so the battery is nice and charged when your ready to ride again. :silly:
All the very best with the recovery, I guess you have surgery and some nuts & bolts to add to your armour before you get to do any shopping.

Hi
Let it be said again…. Fantastic ride!
Three cheers for Mick. As usual a great ride. I know the weather didnt do him any favours, no prerides, it carried an amount of uncertainty! But as always Mick and the crew delivered.
Great to share the trails with you guys, always good company on an old bull’s ride.
Hope to catch up again soon.

UnitJanuary 12, 2013 at 10:05 am in reply to: Drinks, Breakfast, Bikes and Bago. Wauchope 9th March #235402A breakfast for such a worthy cause, how could i miss it. And i guess i will have to find my way home via the forest. Possibly get lost and end up where i began. Nothing abnormal about that!!!
Please list me for the breakfast.

I would be interested as well. Ridden a couple of times down that way but would only get you lost by myself….. Would need to check the ride grade as well, ie can i keep up?

Hi Razzle
I am a bit of a novice, but run 4 x 2 strokes for my boys. I use cheaper 4t engine oil and change it regularly. I read some time ago that that the race specific gear oil could be very light and the general engine oil offerred better protection. Important for you to know is that 4t engine oils are designed to run the engine, gearbox and clutch of a 4t, so should run equally as well in just the gear box and clutch of a 2t.
More recently i have been told to run automatic tranmission fluid in 2t gear box. Again on the basis its cheap so use it and change it often.
Further i am told never to use car engine oils as they have friction modifiers which i believe mucks up with your clutch. From my reading some diesel oils dont have friction modifiers in the oil and therefore can make good cheap bike oils. Again on the basis of buy it cheap change it often. Havent tried this one yet.
Good luck with husaberg te300, should be a great ride.

Hi KTM Bull
Can you add Unit and his crew of 4 (ding ding ding). They had such a great time at the last one we couldnt miss it. Would like to camp o/night and will pitch the tent. I will shake up Tim as well.
Let’s hope for some rain between now and then…..

Ollie thanks for the backup of Jimmy’s post. The young bloke took the rm125 for a spin today. Was really happy with the new clutch. Constantly asked him how it was going and whether he could detect any issues. No issues reported. (great expectations really, they usually just ride them to they drop, and then tell you)
We intend to drop the oil to clean it out after the next few rides, we will continue this routine until the clutch plate milkshake disappears.
Thanks
UnitTimd505 and i went for a ride today in the Lake Cathie area. Pull up in glorious sunshine, oh this will be nice. By the time the bikes were off the cloud had moved in. By the time the engines started it was starting to rain. Anyway a good time was had on the katoom. The rear shock bearing replacement made the rear end feel plush again. The seal appears to be holding out. All good.
Thanks for the input.

Hi Jimmy
Thanks for the response. I had assumed that is what would have happened. I could not see how the plate pieces could have exited the basket without being crushed.
The magnetic bolt had very little filings collected on it. I am hoping things will okay!
