Hey TB, your videos will be of great assistance. My bike trailer has been doing some km’s lately and I was guessing it is a job that needs to be done. Never done it before so your video will be a great starter.
PS I think you duplicated one of the video’s and you may have one that you need to post to complete the sequence.
Thanks again.
UnitI would be interested as well. I think I would be able to talk two other old bulls into coming as well. So that would make three.

Great shots. Gotta love that pig. It would have been a laugh watching the catch. I am surprised it looked so happy sitting up on the bike. I thought it would have been squealing and carrying on.
Mick, I see you got a sign at your end of the forest as well.
Today I was out in Cowarra stopped in a clearing, I heard a noise and looked up to see a helicopter coming in really low, I thought this is strange. As I admired the sight I noticed its sign writing – Police – I thought that was a bit of an extreme way to catch a few people doing 60 in the single trails!!! Maybe they read my post on Old Bulls, HA HA! I happily admired their vehicle as it flew off heading towards Port.
I gather from your post they would have been part of the search for the missing person and they weren’t out looking for Unit enjoying a few single trails on a Sunday morning. Or did I get it up over 60 and set off the forest alarms???
Hi All
In reference to the new 60km per hour limit. I noticed a nice shiny and new 60km sign the other day, freshly erected and concreted in at the point where the tar turns to dust. But the 60km was the least of my concern for under the 60km sign was a not so nice but equally new sign with small print advising that the same fine Scotty correctly mentioned above would be applicable for riding off the forestry road system. For me that meant a possible $2200 for a blat up that single line that we all so much like to ride. So forget the unregistered rider – I think we all have something to be concerned about even if we think we are riding “legal”.
So once again, you can try to do all the right things and be a model trail riding citizen, but you’re still got to be a forest criminal to do what we love to do! There has to be a better system.
I am sure you could go out on the weekend and beat up a few people or have a blinder and drive and it would cost you less!

I went back to the garage and let off all the bolts, and got them all started and everything came together with a bit of pushing and squeezing as I tightened.
We are now ready to ride, very happy teenager!
What was really important was to let off the bolts attaching the brace section to the guards. At first I thought that they would need to be tight (with locktite) before the shroud went on, however the bolts attaching this section could be tightened after the shroud was in place, either around the shroud or through the hole in the shroud. This minor item made a big difference in my being able to get it all back together.
Thanks.

Hey Gotowo
I have 4 kids riding and unfortunately they are all about the same size so very little gets handed down. I am always looking for a bargain so I recommend that you have a good look on Ebay US. Go to motors, accessories and then apparel and search boots, enter your postcode and country and then search by postage and shipping highest first and run through the list. Guaranteed Tech 10’s will be up at the top of the list. Great thing is that price plus postage will be shown, postage indicates that the seller is willing to post to Australia. There will be significant variance in the price of postage so be cautious. Most of the prices are buy it now so the price will be know.
There are lots of sort options, trial them out.
I find it a whole lot better than sifting through various international websites. This way you get a list of many suppliers on one site. Most of the suppliers end up being motor bike shops in the states clearing superceded stock. Often it will be close out models so be sure you are pricing what you actual want. I am usually happy to hahave the boots and dont really care if they are the 09 colours or the 10 colours.
Remember that it can be very expensive to return the item if it doesn’t suit and this is the big advantage of supporting your local shop. Also consider whether you can get parts etc when they break.
Good luck with the hunt and if you need more help pm your phone number.

Hey Corey8, got to love the ramifications of get older! A broken bone and you get all the added bonuses like blood clots etc. They certainly put the panic’s up the doctor. How are those needles in the gut, and the great bruises that they leave – an added bonus, then the tables and the blood tests – for s##t sake I only broke my leg!
Sorry to hear about your fate; all the best!
Huskybloke – one of my young blokes just got back on his bike(last weekend) after 6 months on the side line with a broken femur. One very happy camper. Still got the plate in his leg but doctor gave him the all clear. No racing yet – orders of she who must be obeyed.

Happy birthday Tim! We will have to go and have a ride to celebrate another year older etc. Unit

Very nice ride. It looks immaculate. You would have been very happy when you got there and seen the as new condition. I wish you all the very best with it.
Thanks for the call today to discuss. Keep us all informed of the project, as you set it up to suit yourself.

How sad to see such a young life lost – whatever the cause.
This is the tragic cost of our sport, whether we hit a tree or another rider. It sucks but it is the reality of action sports. Unfortunately we have a very marginal connection with this world. As the father of four teenage boys I feel the pain of this terrible result of a young man’s innocent pursuit of pleasure. I feel so sorry for his family and friends but I hope they understand the passion that drove this kid to go for his regular blat.
I hope the other fellow is okay – it will be a terrible thing to live with!! It would knock me around.
I read locally that a young guy at Ellenborough cleaned up a 4wd on the weekend. I understand he survived but I dont believe he is in a good way.
Unfortunately all this “bad press” does not do our sport or our claims of excessive insurance any favours.
At the end of the day we are the ones out there and we have a duty of care to each other. I cannot see authorities ever regulating trail riding, I am sure it would be an easier option to ban the activity – and I bet there would be a lot of people happy about that. So we need to be responsible and self regulate in the interest of the longevity of our sport.
We all need to take care, safe riding to you all. The buck stops with us.

Hi Rebore450
In respect of the 250EXCF can I ask 20 kgs little than what? Just so I have an impression of your suggested ideal weight for one.
Also, in respect of the 300exc i hear all sorts comments, ideal bike that can be lugged around or you can ring its neck off if your game (and on your game). I am more a plodder and I just ask if you think it can be ridden comfortably by a plodder?
