if you have a bike with a steering lock silicon the hole up under the mudguard other wise sand can go up the tube out the steering haed slot and get into bearings it did on my bike anyway but i love riding in riversand creeks etc

thanks thats good moto should have herd it rattle to day riding with son on jr80 did not relise it was that bad normaly don t ride that slow luky it did not jump a tooth .got caught in a storm young fela must have fell of in 4 big puddles should have seen him

i have found m12 michelin on the front very good i like the kender suprise tyres (carlsbad)on the back thats just me some people hate them i was getting them cheap but also hard to put on
does ktmrat mean petrol not oil ? spose its more fun baging outktms than fixing yamahas how about we start on hondas had a few of them all bikes keep taking money
if i kept records like that i think it would SCARE me how much moneyi have wasted over the years on bikes just don t want to know.have you seen a pistons out of these modern race bikes its a wonder they last as long as they do sigle compression ring short short skirt spose thats why they rev so hard
mines a b&b can only see it when in day light or inside with a torch
can see the sight glass with bash plate on and yess it has only been trail road
all stuff that should not happen but most was fixed under warranty i am not a good enough rider to ride a xr650 through tight scrub fast have tryed and failed to BIG for me.i have spent 50 on front sprocket seal and spacer 20 on shims steering head dearings ?back wheel bearings20 but will need to spend heaps more soon also money on tyres only problem with this bike is its to fun to ride and never wont to go home.
done the valves bit of a drama untill told to cut 5mm of tank mount bracket and use 5mm longer bolt when puting it back together had the crank seal leak transfering oil got it back from ktm and the oil pump seal went trasfered oil other way than cam chain tensioner got rattly ktm replaced it but the new one is stuffed now i think from the rattles pulled it out the other day and freed it up rattles stopped went for a ride rattle come back. time for a top end rebuild starting to use oil. also repleced front spocket seal and bush
about 150hrs awesome bike for shore very versatile done a lot of riding in last 12 months mainly because its such a fun bike to ride and we have had rain
