singletrackmind wrote:Hey Paul,At least you know that your computer is up to the task. If it can handle 1080p at 60fps with Protune on then it is running very quickly.

That’s it hey, always good to have options…

Thx for the advice, just pulled the trigger on one of these myself & have been curious about settings as well.
First test I went with…
1080 – 60fps
Protune on
Auto WB on
Wide angleFootage colour was very flat as STM mentioned & not very sharp either, had the fisheye lens look as well.
I ran it through the GoPro software, ticked remove fisheye & used their preset which made the colours pop & sorted the fisheye out but it still didn’t look sharp enough, cranked sharpen all the way up & ran it again, looked heaps better.Next time I’m gonna turn protune off, shoot at medium & see how it compares.

August 21, 2013 at 4:00 am in reply to: August Naivgation Ride 2013 Wauchope to Bacca and Back #248407Big thanks to TB & everyone who was involved in the pre running, so much time & effort goes in behind the scenes to put together a route like this, not to mention clearing the trails & the distance they travel to do so… I’m sure I speak for everyone when I say thx again for all the time & effort you all put in, it was much appreciated.
Also a big thx to Steve from Adventure Moto for donating prizes & driving the support vehicle, Yamaha & any other sponsors that I’ve forgotten for coming to the party & helping out.
I could only get away on the Sunday & TB was kind enough to let me just tag along on the Sun. I hadn’t been on the bike for months & was hanging for a ride, I knew this one was gonna be a cracker as I live in the area. Bike was prepped, new tyre whacked on, clean air filter, threw a lambs wool cover on the seat then put 20L of fuel in the tank & all was looking good for my 1st ride with the Old Bulls. Now here comes the twist (no pun intended) the next day I threw my back out & could hardly walk, damn. Hoped it would come good but unfortunately it didn’t, riding was not an option any more so my ride turned into a DNS. On a lighter note I went up & had dinner on Saturday night with the crew to explain my misfortune, met some really nice people, sounds like you all had a great days riding. Sorry I couldn’t tag along, was really looking forward to it… Made the right call though, on Sun morning I couldn’t even get my shoes on let alone my leg over a bike.
Sorry to hear about your bad luck there Puddles, wishing you a speedy recovery mate.
Thx for all the ride reports everyone, been enjoying reading all your posts.
Glad to hear/see you’z all had such a good ride.p.s Was talking to a few people on Sat night about a ride we did a while ago from Kempsey to Gingers Creek, if any of you would like the route just give us a yell.
