I have never been to a proper enduro meet nor the A4DE though (I only just learned who Alison Parker is).
I am willing to help out but will need a motel room or something for my beauty sleep as I live on the Central Coast.Good system Al.
My local chemist dont carry big syringes but Vets have them for work on large animals and they usually only want their cost price for one
Oh, Happy Birthday Al
klickety clickDate has been reset: This Saturday 23/1/2010 Please read the first post on page 1.
My bike is fixed and now I am starting to think about going back to dirt mode so, I will be going on this ride even if no-one else does.
Anyone keen who’s from the Sydney metro can organise a ride of their own to meet mine at Pie in the Sky at 11:30am.
Feel free. The weather looks good at this stage.
Ahh, sand.
I rekon the Dakar would be fun if they could hold a stage on Fraser Island, that’s where I really learned sand riding. You can do massive donuts on the main beach
I might have to try Stockton someday, are there plenty of flats at low tide?A female CNN journalist heard about a very old Jewish man who had been
going to the Wailing Wall to pray, twice a day, every day, for a long, long time.So she went to check it out. She went to the Wailing Wall and there he was,
walking slowly up to the holy site. She watched him pray and after about 45 minutes, when he turned to leave,
using a cane and moving very slowly, she approached him for an interview.“Pardon me, sir, I’m Rebecca Smith from CNN. What’s your name?
“Morris Fishbien,” he replied.
“Sir, how long have you been coming to the Wailing Wall and praying?”
“For about 60 years.”
“60 years! That’s amazing! What do you pray for?”
“I pray for peace between the Christians, Jews and the Muslims.”
“I pray for all the wars and all the hatred to stop. ”
“I pray for all our children to grow up safely as responsible adults, and to love
their fellow man.”“How do you feel after doing this for 60 years?”
“Like I’m talking to a brick wall!”
Here you go, get some of this into them…
I just hose mine out when I wash the bike, which is always within a day or 2 after each ride, then I hang them upside down on the clothes line to drip dry and then they sit in the shade until they are completely dry.
If they stink like a tom cat they might need dissinfecting  , but I dont what product to use.
Is there a Muck Off one that will do it?I noticed the survey and the OBT choice when I got my copy, it will be filled & sent in.
Glad I subscribed to the mag actually, it is good value and a down to earth read – recomended

Should be fixed now, I made it ‘public’.
Heaps of fun mate! Only one small moment of reality for me
I forgot to say how good it was to meet Mal5.1 and Mickg and what a good breakfast we had at The Entrance
.
Cheers.
WB.I had a great ride, thanks TB for organising and leading (and letting me overtake when your lane finished).
I would explain where we went on day 2 but it is easier to show the animated tracklog, see below.
It was a very big loopy kind of figure 8 almost for me, after going home from Berowra and the wet weather made my return trip a very wet, slow and cautious one.
“My ass hurts” never got heard but I can assure you I said that a lot on the way home.
Sitting on a wet sheepskin ain’t good unless you have waterproof pants on and I dont care what they say about GoreTex being waterproof, it is BS and I can prove it.
I think leather is the only solution. My toe got hit by a rock or something and was bruised pretty well, note: ride on balls of feet when ever possible.
Enough whinging!
I had an absolute ball getting to Pie in the sky but should’ve probably had the bike in cruise mode, not sport mode 😆The ball in this track animation gives an “idea” of the speed …..
Press the little play button at bottom left if it doesn’t play automatically.Depends what terrain you are riding.
In single track, I steer with my feet a lot and am constantly using brake and gear levers so I use my arches. As Busy223 said, if things get too tight just twist the throttle and launch over the obstacle. Failing that, lift one foot clear and weave the bike through or, sit and paddle with your feet.
On open trail and road I am on the balls of my feet because it feels better and there’s less chance of toes getting hit by a rock or stick etc.
I got my big toe hit by a rock or similar (didn’t even see it) the other day on a road (read: tar) ride because I was on the arches with toes pointing down, it hurt badly for the rest of the day and was blue when I took off my boots.
From now on when I am on the road or open trails I am going to use the balls of my feet always.Welcome Katgirl.
I had a supposed ‘mid life crisis’ about 5 years ago in my early 40’s and got into trail riding after a 10-15 year get off.
Prior to that I was doing observed trials comp. or what they now call ‘Moto Trials’.I thought it was only men who had these ‘mid life crisies’ ?
As far a I am concerned it should be called a ‘mid life celebration’ in celebration of the things we can still do and enjoy in this mean difficult worldI live very close to the Watagans and I will soon be organising an easy (by my standard) ride through the Watties for a nice lunch at Millfield, refuel and return.
You will be welcome on the ride and assistance will be given if needed and advice offered ( whatever that’s worth) :SKeep an eye open in the ‘Organise a Ride” section.

My bike is fixed :woohoo:
I am keen as to do the Central Coast to lunch (wherever it will be).
Can you let me know where & what time to meet you on the Central coast TB?Yes you’re quite right Eagle.
How is their riding skills, full on looong feet up power slides in nearly every corner on tracks they dont know before hand.
A lot of skill there and to keep doing it day after day which are each longer than most of our long dirt rides are.I am impressed :cheer:
