 I dont know I can wait that long.
Make it faster TB, pull something out of your magic hat pleeease. You needed a blue slip for a bike covered by warranty???
What’s happening KD?
Surely the graphics have arrived?
How long does it take to put them on?
I am busting to see it.
Oh the anxiety of it all :silly:I cant help thinking that some dealers a just slack.
I feel they want to sell stuff and are not too bothered with claims because they are administrative headaches requiring correspondence with several people maybe.
It’s easier to sell bikes and parts and accessories, thats about all some of them know.Uncle Fester wrote:

Well, my bike is the most phoolly sick and wicked machine there is.
Simple.I am selling my mast, see pic below.
It comes with free sails, boom, twin hulls, rudders, centreboards and is on registered galvanised trailer. Also comes with other bits and pieces ready for action sailing.
Special Old Bulls price: $1500
I forgot about the bakery down the road, Chittaway Bay Bakery, rating: about 8 out of 10, baked in house of course.
Maybe me, will let you know if my bike is up to it.
I can see two Italjet T250 Trials bikes there.
That = 2 problems in my experience.
That was my first “real” trials bike.My DRZ had a 1 year warranty.
The only thing I tried to claim was blistering stickers on the petrol tank.
Dealer said he didn’t like my chances at all but he took photos and put the claim in.
About 3 weeks later I received in the mail: new tank and shroud stickers
I still have the 06 model shroud stickers if anyone wants ’em.Trailboss wrote:
Quote:Cheers Mal, wow a piston every 800kms that doesnt make for cheap motoring eitherTB
Judging by my log that equates to a new piston every 20hrs or about 5 or 6 rides.
Holy crap!
I would be looking for a 2 ring piston (assuming it has a single ring one installed), I will probably install one in the BMW when its time comes. It almost contradicts itself.
Estimated cost of the major service was $3400 but they weren’t sure, no one had done one yet.
Even if I was qualified to do it I guess the special tools required would easily cost over $1000.
May as well sell the bike, and buy what?I might have to start conversing with the BMW boss man, this has potential for a bad rap and I aint the one to get sued!

if I worked it out right
Cheers for the info WB
TB
I’m not sure how to read that.
Lets wait and see what happens with my bike before jumping to conclusions.
Back on topic.
Sorry I forgot, the manual also says to replace the exhaust valves “due to high thermal loads”.
I kid you not.
I was told none of this when I bought it except that there was a “major service” required I think.
TB: just over 6000KM.
