Sorry TB I mis-read the story.
Seems like their way of not spoiling their kids, sort of enforced humble pie

Are you getting excited, wait till you see the tracks Dan, Boulder and myself have got sorted, they are sweet, and there is a track for everyone going, giddy up.
I will be dropping back through the pack at times to take photos and helmet cam footage, Dan the man will steer the ship whilst I am down running you and Beagle over Boony so look forward to that

If you just ask I will move over.
I wont.
TB tried to kill switch me last ride.TB, my parents survived the war in Europe and after it finished they ‘refugeed’ to Aussie.
Survive is the word as food was scarce and there was little money as the banks all closed long before they got blown up and looted.Any way as a matter of cause/effect they learnt to make ends meet here by doing things just like this, e.g: as kids our little treat was sometimes brown suger sandwiches (no butter) even though there were better things in the cupboard.
So Yes, I have experienced this but thinks have now improved dramatically
You can just put the nipple anywhere it wont interfere with anything like wires or cables, but make sure the grease gun can fit on easily too.
Oh and dont drill through the compliance plate
Also give the head a good clean out after the tapping is done, any crap left in there will end up in the bearings eventually.Boony, you better ‘gear up’ and do your rear static and race sag now you have had the forks done, you need to keep the bike balanced front to rear.
If you have a C spanner bring it on Sundy, we might need to adjust it.
Same for you Smurf19.Also guys, i installed a grease nipple to the steering head of my DRZ so you can keep it greased and not worry about water getting in so much.
The steering head full of grease doesn’t matter because grease doesn’t weigh much. You do need the right tools for this mod though.

A trough will cause northerlies to become warm and strong in southern QLD and NSW, then bring patchy rain to western NSW and VIC. A front will bring strong winds, showers and a colder change to SA, later VIC and TAS. A high will cause wind to ease and most showers to clear in WA.
Issued Wednesday 11:37 ESTSo my ‘yachty from way back when’ interpretation is that the Westerly they talk about will actually hold most of the rain in the West of the Range area where it is really needed.
But thats only if the forcast actually comes true.Best to check the TV forecast the night before.
If we do get rain the last thing I want is hypothermia which is easy to get sitting on a bike at 50-60Ks in the rain even if the temp is above 20C so dress appropriatly people. It might be a bit wide for the tight single track TW.
Good to see she bottles her f^rts and pipes it into the engine, enviro friendly that eh!
It was an excellent ride Al – well done organising it and running it, top job mate
TB tried to switch off my bike mid-ride but could not succeed! Ha ha TB you cant stop a Beemer that easily
Hey Training Wheels, I like that animated map thingy (every trail), I might see if I can make one of those for the Apex Batemans Bay ride the other week.
The burgers at the pub are awsome, I ate too much.
Thanks again Al, hope the gloves are good.
Beemer.
I’d like to go on this one too please.
It sounds like a good one.training wheels wrote:

No worries TW but I will have to clean up the espressoBeemer after the Batemans Bay ride last weekend, it’s all full of dust.
Yes I never had a problem gett’n them to answer the phone but when I ordered the dampner for the bmw, it took a week longer to make than they said, apparently there was a death in the family so I did not complain.
It finally arrived but the mounting bolts weren’t in the box.
Being Friday afternoon – late, I rang them as I was keen to try it out and I knew they are pretty close to me.
They sent the bolts immediately to me at home via a very attractive young blonde lady who happened to be the owners daughter. So all up I am happy.
The damper works well but I cannot compare it as I’ve never had one before.Oh yeah, he also said to send it back every year for a free service.
Well I will be buggered!
I went to the ebay store above and put in an offer of $25 for the kevlar dirt bike gloves and won!
Guess I will pay for them nowYeah yeah TB, but it begs the question why FIM would dump the 450 class when all the manufacturers mass produce them?
Unless the manufacturers actually want it this way so they can re-invent and re-sell the enduro bike?
I cant see much point in down sizing the bore/stroke of a 450 unless the whole bike is also re-engineered to save weight.
Smaller sleeve and rod wouldn’t save much weight, if any. -
