My StoneKing is still going strong. I cant believe the small amount of wear for so much riding.

take a look at the 2nd page. Unless I’m missing something the middle two pics are the only correct ones!

You are correct AustBlue, only the middle 2 are correct examples.
You should tell Kinchrome about that, they might give you a free torque wrench!

I agree with TB though, I have a W&B one and wouldn’t have any other.
Some of the micrometer ones are very quiet and you can easily overtighten with them, or worse.

Menace i all ready know your reply.Ok guys tomorrow is my d day.Do i buy the WR450 or the EXC450.Im leaning towards the WR only because of price. If i buy the Wr by tomorrow i can get it for 11500 rideaway against 13200 for the Kato. Both bikes are far and above more than i would ever need.I know you only pay for something once but im having a lot of trouble seeing what the extra money for the Kato would do to benefit me.I think im going blue.

    Get a Beemer.

Closed loop injection, manufique suspension light weight.
    $12450 with 2 yr warranty

Um, I just point the front wheel into a corner of the trailer and tie it to the tie rail on one side and to a u bolt I put on the front gate.
Another tie round the back wheel and it’s done.
Bike sits diagonally across the trailer and never moves.

Carabiners are expensive, just get a couple of snap hooks from the local hardware.
You can also put the hook through the u bolt (if it fits) and hook it back onto the tie down after wrapping the tie down around the hook a few times but I’d go for the snap hooks.

Ballards have some really chunky heavy duty tie downs with big snap hooks and handle bar loops for $50, they are good.

    Words from DK, on his blog;

Well, unless u have been to the moon or somewhere u will know that I parted ways with BMW, and have now joined Kawasaki europe and the KSRT ( Kawasaki superbike racing team ), which is ran by Paul Bird Motorsport for the rest of 2009 at least.

First of all, i’d like to say thanks to all the guys at BMW, super people and a great team, but unfortunatly, I couldn’t get on with the bike, thus I didn’t have fun, and we were at a stage where the bike was pretty well developed as far as it can be unless a new bike was designed, so I was very limited to do what I needed too unfortunatly. Anyway the team offered a release, and I took it, its that simple. I always said if i’m not enjoying my riding, i’ll stop, riding bikes is my life, and doing it being miserable is not an option for me, not even for any amount of money!

I guess that means it was a successfull test, the Beemer protected the occupants.
    Thats pretty wickd!

I know someone who had a roo go through the windscreen and end up in the back seat thrashing around, stopped car, evacuated, opened back door and roo hopped away so he called the NRMA.

Try Shonkymaps (not shonky at all, actually very good for a freebe) topographicals. They show trails but not single track of course.
