    I dont know, I found a rego check station that just checked the lights, seat belts, drove it down the drive & back and did the brake test in the office by tilting up the test instrument, he even gave me a discount for paying cash!
    Got the rego and now the car needs brake work, new exhaust and tyres.
    Go figure!

    Good stuff Ollie.
    Next, maybe instructions for a full wheel alignment check?

    That might be to much for the average punter?

    Is it that time again TB?
    It is the weekend, maybe you should go for a ride?
    Will we see you at Batemans for this one?

    PS; the ride is now full.

    Bring it on baby!
    Especially if it gets the pit bikes out of the parks and gives the rice burning wheel spinners somewhere to go drifting.

    Copied from the council site:
    As a result, the Wyong Automotive Racing Precinct (WARP) project has been established, with a view to to exploring the potential to create a Motor Sport facility which could cater for a broad range of activities, including:

    * Driver education facility (both general and race car education)

    * Car and motorcycle testing and racing facility for car enthusiast and club use

    * Dirt bike tracks

    * Mountain biking facility

    * Karting

    * Car dealer demonstration areas

    * Potential drag strip venue for street racers; and/or

    * Concert / event space.
    Woo hoo :woohoo:

    ME!
    Last pair was US 14 but the new Fox’s are US15 for some reason – they just fit perfectly with 2 pairs of thick wooly sox.

    What’s so funny about that?
    Good for dancing on mud and water skiing in the buff :P

    So there’s different compounds for the different ‘models’.
    It would be easy to see with two tyres side by side, twist the knobs on both, then compare that with a trials comp tyre.

    Not too happy with my stone king but it is wearing slooowwwly.
    Might go back to IRC or D952….
    Or Kenda, depending on what Moto says next…

    …..maybe

    “Washougalsticky” and “Millville sticky”
    Are there different compounds available in each of the lines (Carlsbad, Washougal & Millville etc)??

    If so, the old competition rule is: soft terrain – use a hard compound, hard terrain – use a soft compound, not sure till you get there – have a tyre ready on a spare wheel for each possibility.

    You do have spare wheels don’t you?

    I’m looking for home laptop too. I was using the Dell D620 business laptop but TB made me drive over it in my car.

    Now I don’t know what to get. I’m tempted to get a mac……

    The ToughBook is good if you travel a lot with it but they are expensive, laptops are expensive to repair and break downs mean LOTS OF DOWN TIME so probably better to get a rugged one.

    I would not buy a laptop unless I really need portability.

    Also I have seen the little notebooks all the public schoolies are getting (and they can keep them if the finish year 12), they are impressive and the software they are getting is also impressive, man if I went back to school now I would end up much smarter than back in the old bull days of cane and chalk!
    Only saw, fiddled and talked about them so it remains to be seen how well they run with the software loaded up.

    These little notebooks are a cheap alternative if the applications are not to resource hungry, and they are light to carry around too so they might get dropped less and not break as much as a full size laptop.

    TB

    But Knights was an extremely modified bike I believe, some say they should have left it more stock standard.

    looks like it may have had side load

    how was the job of removing the swing arm? or did you only have to slide the pivot back a bit?

    It did have a little side load – I read the book (CD rom) and it says to push the swingarm to the left side before tightening the pinch bolts, I hadn’t done that.
    Removing the swing arm is easy – remove bottom shock mount bolt (remember there is no linkages), undo nut and slide out the pin that goes through the gear shaft.
    One side bearing comes out with the pin the other stays in the frame.
    It’s all quite ingeneous really.

    Chris; genuine front 14T = $51 but I have found slightly different prices depending which dealership I go to, or should that be stealership?
