So it would be a grade 4 ride?
I better not, dont want any bad things before my trip to Kowen Forest.Good luck with getting riders, a lot are going to Wauchope this weekend, but post up a ride report, we are interested for sure.

Menace if you can still get in, and you can make it, the Kowen Forest ride will have a demo loop with most of the bike brands available including BMW.
See my thread in Ride Gatherings.
I’m not sure but you may not have to be entered to go for a demo ride – check with DSMRA.
Cheers….. bait got spat out!micknmeld wrote:

Either way it would be better then a KTM
Actually, when I typed that I thought to myself “that doesn’t look right”. but none of the illiterate buggers on this site will notice,Guess I was wrong.
Actually it’s Bavarian Motor Works
No need to concern yourself with the other try-hards.champo35 wrote:

Yep, if I tried that the plank would just snap
Closet junky?
TB, you’re an absolute adrenaline junky!
Did that hurt?
I had the 06 DRZ400.
I think if you’re over 80kg the stock springs are too soft for dirt riding.
Use the Racetech spring rate calculator here http://www.racetech.com/evalving/menu/searchdirt.asp
If you do anything more than the clickers & sag adjustments you need to do BOTH front and rear to maintain stability.
Had mine done at Southlakes Motorcycles and they also lengthened the rear shock by 10mm (easily done).
The bike was great after that.
Cost was just over $700. Well worth it.Sounds great TB, look forward to the rest.

Just trying to get a bite out of Mick, where is he?I dont think so Eagle.
The fact that Mick is asking us indicates to me he is at a dilemma and is probably tired of the older tech. type of bike, he may even need counselling to help him through this :blush:Call me biased but, I think put a good bike together out of the three, sell it and all the left over bits and get a BMW G450X or the 650X.
You then have a high quality bike with warranty, reliability and it will renew your faith in dirt biking and manufacturers. That’s what my Beemer did for me. -
