This ride is now full – please let me know if anyone drops out and I apologise for anyone who missed out

I have been meaning to do this for some time; Start at Martinsville (Watagans base), pick up extra riders at The Pines and then proceed to Millfield for fuel and lunch & top up drinking water, then return via a somewhat different way.

Start time will be 8am ready to ride at Martinsville tennis court/oval satellite map, or
8:45 if starting at The Pines picnic area which is precisely where the Green Arrow is in this map

Ride grade 2.5 (would be grade 2 but I am including some easy enduro style trails with alternate by-passes)
Grade 2 and above riders all welcome.
I will keep it easy as my motivation for this ride is to have an easy ride in the summer heat, welcome new members, provide a ride which caters for not so experienced riders, and to offer advice or demonstrate simple riding techniques.

The ride will include a fun ‘rolling race’ as we have done before. It is heaps of fun and is only a ‘race’ to see how far you can go with a dead engine. It really is fun :cheer:

Paul, my next door neighbor has expressed interest in coming on the ride. He is 40 and rides an older model KTM250 two stroke. He has never been on a big ride before but I have ridden with him and he could handle grade 2-3 no problem.

If you ok it then his name is Troy.

    old al.

    That’s fine Al.

A couple of potential bulls had to drop out too.

A blonde lady motorist was about two hours from the Gold Coast when she was flagged down by a man whose truck had broken down. The man walked up to the car and asked, ‘Are you going to the Gold Coast?’

‘Sure,’ answered the blonde, ‘do you need a lift ?’
‘Not for me. I’ll be spending the next three hours fixing my truck My problem is I’ve got two chimpanzees in the back which have to be taken to the Gold Coast Zoo. They’re a bit stressed already so I don’t want to keep them on the road all day. Could you possibly take them to the zoo for me ? I’ll give you $100 for your trouble..’

‘I’d be happy to,’ said the blonde. So the two chimpanzees were ushered into the back seat of the blonde’s car and carefully strapped into their seat belts. Off they went.

Five hours later, the truck driver was driving through the heart of the Gold Coast when suddenly he was horrified!! There was the blonde walking down the street and holding hands with the two chimps, much to the amusement of a big crowd. With a screech of brakes he pulled off the road and ran over to the blonde. ‘What the heck are you doing here ?’ he demanded, ‘I gave you $100 to take these chimpanzees to the zoo.’

‘Yes, I know you did,’ said the blonde,’ but we had money left over — so now we’re going to SeaWorld

Hmmm  they even paint the machines pink FFS!
I wonder if they also ride scooters around town?

Actually I have seen that left hand over head wave before and I think I vote for that.

Mal, what about those old blokes we passed going up the twisties at Mooney Creek, did you give them a wave?
    How slow were they?

No offence intended to any potential Old Bulls

    Don’t try Chris, do it.
You’re on the list and I hope you can make it.

There has been a little rain and more is forecast before Sunday.
This should make conditions excellent B) (I hate bull dust).

    Hi Paul,

Have you got any ladies locked in to do the ride???

One of the potential Old Bulls is a lady.
You should join us, I know most of the riders will be happy to help if you need/want it and I will most likely be using the ‘cornerman’ system so no-one gets left behind or lost.

Also the ground should be a bit wet in places which helps build good riding skills.

I was looking at the amount of water on the concrete under the eve of the building, that indicates the wind may have blown rain down the tube on the can and if there’s only a couple of Ltr of petrol then a little bit could be a problem.
Doesnt water settle in carburetor bowls and corrode stuff?

Just another 20 cents worth from me.

    Back on topic, sorry.

Here’s an idea Boony; build a forward roll cage and it will be able to ‘find it’s feet’ after the front bites in :woohoo: now that’s a stunt machine!
