Wombat, contact me for the steering dampeners and I will look after you guys for the three bikes. Seriously, if you are planning on staying offroad as much as possible, these are the best insurance you can have for the trip. Email me directly on steve@adventuremoto.com.au and I will send you my mobile phone number. You may also seriously want to rethink Hard Luggage on this trip. We also have solutions for extending your fuel range. I would be happy to advise or help you where I can.

    Cheers

Ummm… You say on your webste that this ride has never been done before but Phil Hodges and Tugboat Bill did the ride last year and they were chasing Tony Kirby’s record which was set many years before. Read about the ride here… http://www.advrider.com/forums/showthread.php?t=604513&highlight=Philth or get the DVD which was filmed by Phil.

I am not taking away from what you guys are out to achieve but let’s give credit where credit is due eh fellas!?

Arkaroola is a beautiful place and I will head back there for a bit more discovery. The Station manager encourages us ADV Riders to head out and explore. After we fixed the Ute and Trailer though we did have to go and rescue on of the truly tragics after he broke his ankle…

Harley and Me… Harley was the oldest tragic on the ride at 65yo. The oldest bikes were classic 83 Tenere’s.

We gave away a shit load of prizes and some ‘Adventuremite’ and Moto Cement (HTFU) T-Shirts…

    1210160534_ynWyG-M.jpg

Luke was the youngest Tragic at 16yo and n his “L” plates, riding with the Coffs Harbor boys including his dad Dave…

There was around fifty Tenere Riders and a few dealers and one ring in KTM rider who couldn’t keep from telling anyone who he thought was listening “… You guys are all on the wrong bike” 👿 But the dinner was great and Clubby from Trailzone was a fantastic MC…

The Sunday I rode alone down to Arkaroola and gave the S10 the berries. I like the bike and fel I could easily do some big kays on her. My reckoning is she sits somewhere betwen a KTM 990 and an R1200GSA as far as feel and handling. The bike certainly needs protection like a big strong ALTRIDER bash plate and crash bars. The ROTOPAX fuel cells mounted on the new Moto Racks and rear rack give the bike an extra 11.6 Litres of fuel and an easy 500 km range.

The mighty Triton chased us all over the country with Big Pete on the Gas and realizing all to late that a 3 tonne ute does not handle as well as an XT660Z and an XT1200Z…

Hi Guys and thanks for the big Thumbs up! I remember Kat girl doing her circuit work and am most impressed of what I hear about you simply getting your wings and literally taking off Kat!

With regards to the SPOT Tracker. I have a limited number of these ADV kits for sale. Our current web special on the standard SPOT 1 kit is $219.00 plus postage. I told Greg I would do these limited edition kits for the same price and for OB riders I will throw in FREE shipping. Just email janice on sales@adventuremoto.com.au and tell her you are an OB.

We can generally do a 10% off Wolfman and Giant Loop gear and 5%-10% off most other items including Barkbusters and Pivot Pegz etc. I know Allen from Pivot Pegz is a supporter here and I think you get great group buys etc. That is great he is backing OB’s.

A few guys here have also been asking about racks for bikes not listed on our website. We are coming out with racks for the XT1200 and XT660 as well as the XR650R and DRZ400E. Also on the list is the Husky 630. If you have a bike you want to see racks that will fit our Expedition Dry Bags please let me know. In fact if you have any questions about anything bike or luggage related please email me on steve@adventuremoto.com.au and I will do my best to help where I can.

    Cheers Guys

Hi Krusty, The Buckin Roll will fit any safari style tank as long as there is a cut out in the wings. You can also use it with your Fandango Tank Bag as an add on (pockets) wrapping it around the outside of the Fandango.

    Cheers

Hi Kat… Andy and Glenn said they met this amazing woman up at Hampton who was a hard core ADV Rider and Kite Surfer et al! I remember meeting a couple of years back up near Asquith when you were just getting into riding. How has it all been going? We should catch up for a coffee and I will see what you need luggage wise for your project bike.

Ye I’m out with a cracked or bruised ribcage. Had an off on Saturday which left me out cold for five or so minutes and dribbling like a baby for another ten or more  My mate Andy “Canook” and Glenn “The Pensioner” will be riding in my stead and I will come up Saturday night for a beer with the boys..

BUGGER… I cracked a rib while riding out of Araluen last weekend. Apparently I was out cold for a while and my mates were already divvying up the spoils :P So I won’t be riding on Saturday but Andy and Glenn who I rode with on the weekend will and I will come up Saturday for a beer. I was looking forward to riding Hampton as well! :(
