    Thanks fellas.

There’s a guy on epay that sells dot approved knobbys

    Savage mx co.

They do a 19″ but looks like limited choice in size and tread styles.

Fitting new chain adjuster bolts and blocks and some of the other parts that came in the dress up bits I noticed it has a 19″ rear wheel.

What’s the advantages of a 19″ rear if any? Couldn’t find a brand on them….. but I know they don’t like the rim lock being tightened too much….

Now to fit all the lights and blue slip it.

Pipe guard done and fitted. Didn’t turn out completely as I pictured in my mind but a one off no pattern scratch build rearly does.

Pics don’t do it justice, its supposed to look like an anaconda or the like made from individual scales.

Just have to make up the clamps and fit it to the bike.

Interesting stuff on the flywheel weight. Just looked up if they do them for the kato 250, there’s 9 and 11 oz available, I’ll have to do a bit of reading now…

    Go the smokers!

By chance I found this site, http://www.ronniesmailorder.com

Says the fork body was shared by most of the bikes from 125 to the 660 rally years 2000 to 2002

So fork swap looks like it’s on the cards

Thanks for that info axel! I had an 03 300 which liked alot until it seized and got shafted by the dealer. But now with what I know and the brains trust here Im confident it’ll be a long relationship.

I was thinking if the forks are the same diameter as the 640 I’d swap them over as they’ve had some love. From what I can work out they are the same shaft size not sure about the body diameter, but the 250 has about 25mm longer travel. But I figure I’m not going to be motocrossing ant time soon the travel won’t make that much difference to me.

Although I think the 320mm oversized front disc from the 640 may be a bit of overkill :silly:

    Thanks ollie ;)

Advertised as an 01. So I’m hoping it’s the 20mm front axel version.

I’ll be picking the 2t gurus’ brains for tuning, the guy said they fitted the gnarly and P/v spring and said it’s a bit doey down low. They jetted it to what a dealer recommended.

    So see what it’s like.

Yes at around 40kg lighter than the 640 it will be interesting to see how she goes in the hills.

But a back yard tech pipe guard and some indicators first.

5 meter roll of bubble wrap was delivered to the workshop the other day, I ask the boss what to do with it. He said just pop it over in the corner there.

    3 ½ hrs later I’m still here.

    Thanks Ollie.

I didn’t mean that k8ii would be on offer as is, current condition is just some background info. And a little bit of the reason why I’m considering putting her up for adoption.

She is due for reg now. So is the car…. Plus I’m in melb studying, and no room to store here and fix in my spare time.

Yeah I have the original springs, muffler etc .

Two football players were taking an important final exam. If they failed, they would be on academic probation and not allowed to play in the Sugar Bowl the following week. The exam was fill-in-the-blank. The last question read, “Old MacDonald had a _________.”

Bubba was stumped. He had no idea of the answer. He knew he needed to get this one right to be sure he passed. Making sure the professor wasn’t watching, he tapped Tiny on the shoulder.

“Pssst. Tiny. What’s the answer to the last question?”

Tiny laughed. He looked around to make sure the professor hadn’t noticed then he turned to Bubba.

“Bubba, you’re so stupid. Everyone knows Old MacDonald had a farm.”

“Oh yeah,” said Bubba. “I remember now.” He picked up his No. 2 pencil and started to write the answer in the blank. He stopped. Reaching to tap Tiny’s shoulder again, he whispered, “Tiny, how do you spell farm?”

“You are really dumb, Bubba. That’s so easy. Farm is spelled – E-I-E-I-O.”

A lot of circuits are negative switched I.e. live positive all the time, negative switch.

Is the reading with the key on or off?
