my worst off was from a small bore ( full sized) RED rooster.

and that was at a lesser speed (?) unknown and i was not being stupid or silly or any other adverse conduct that increases your probability of an off.

um the 450 barrel and piston on the 250 makes 350.

to get 450 you’d have to put the 570 big bore kit in it. but i have not done the numbers, i doubt you’d get 450 cc out of it.

Have I missed something here? The CC of a bike is based upon the volume of it’s cylinder, i.e., 450 cubic centilitres.

If you bolt a 450 top end on you will have 450cc providing the stroke is the same.

For info the the bore and stroke is different from the 250 to the 450 so it’s more than just a piston and cylinder head. Both bore and stroke are (unsurprisingly) larger.

yes Moto you’re correct. but if you put the 450 cylinder, barrel etc onto the 250 exc-f it increases it’s displacement to 350 mls. = millilitres.

A couple of smilies to show you’re joking might help. Some prick did that to me when I bought my bike and I was forced to cop it when I realised. I could’ve passed it on to someone but then I’m sure karma would’ve had it that my next bike send me off a steep drop. $1500 to fix it and its great now. If his needs similar spent at least he’ll be able to sleep knowing he didn’t take advantage of another rider.

No but i know the deserving ktm dealer to trade it in at though :whistle: 👿

hmmm but then again they would screw over the buyer any way. so on 2nd thought.

oh oh i just had a brain wave. if it has to be rebuilt your bro could get a 350 kit fitted!B)

    now that’s an idea!!!!;)
