i’d lean away from a kero flush. you will have to do extra oil changes to get the kero out.
it will thin the oil, how much i don’t know. it would depend on ratio of kero to oil.
if there’s a supercheap/ similar near by check to see if they have any non friction modified oil on special. car oil won’t do as most are friction modified.
penrite do oil for bikes. although they have a list on the back of their enduro oil, what car oil they do that can be used in what make/size of bike.
it is a good oil but 1/2 to 1/4 of the price of bike oriented oil makers/ brands. i.e. the shell stuff ktm recommended in 2002, motul etc.etc.
i use penrite. not had a problem to date, in hp cars or the bikes.
oh that’d be right i’m discriminated against again!
too fat to race in any other class.
not old enough to compete in a class i’d have some hope in.
yeah i know boony.
a bit like the funny emails. some send them on. and get the same one a few months later and forget they have seen, + the amount of emails some get, get again it and send it on again.
i have a photographic memory!
it’s just not same day service
or i have total recall,
it’s just not instant :cheer:
that’s a repeat boony. about a page ago. but still funny.
if both oils are within your bikes recommended specs it should be fine.

Mata your a ledgend, I tried this modification on the DR on the weekend and crikey it went, It must assist with the instant aceleration section of the power range, because when I hit the starter I think the bike just took off and threw me off the back. I must have hit my head because I think i was out for a while,
Is there another way of connecting the wire to your body, them aligator clips are sharp.
Was thinking maybe reducing the length of wire would assist in voltage transfer thus increasing impact from the modification, and you could attach the wire to,,,,say your scrotum:ohmy:Thanks for the tips and I will be sure to help others with your suggestion in the future.
BoonyThis info is on the quiet, ummmkey.
i secretly did your adapted Moto mod to moto’s bike.
the video will be on Utube when at hand. SSHHHHHH
i hear aidank has a bmw 85 for sale:blink:

have you seen this one?
it’s a wide Arsh fat boy!
heat will also help get rid of any water residue in the crank case.
as long as it’s not too much it will evaporate. without compromising the oil.maybe once you get it ready to fire up again= fresh oil etc., pick a nice day, take it for a long but gentle ride with the filler plug out.
but you will need to tape a cloth or similar over the filler hole to stop dirt getting into the crank case.
i’m not sure how you’d go sitting a heater under the bike once the oil is drained to see if it will move any moisture???.
anyway my 2 shillings worth.
Yep that’s him. he and andrew are top blokes!
last time i was there when puppet was there, Kaye was not working there anymore. i knew she was a partner with Andrew.
she didn’t like me that much.
will have to organise a ride sometime maybe.
welcome to the asylum .
oh oh i mean Forum:P
yes it is hard to give up bikes!
i too had a bad off at 17 while working sheep. it has thus far ended my working life.
but i still ride. the bike is not to blame. circumstances and outside factors always have a part to an accident.
unless you are being a total nob while behind the controls.
anyway welcome along.
where do you ride around Bendigo?
do you by any chance know Peter Clarke that used to work for ABS, or any of the crew that works with Andrew Baine?
can you use a spray can without getting runs in the paint?
i’d be happy to paint the tank for you, however i’m just too far away.
i did a touch up on my rear guard on Katie,= polishing out some of her war wounds. then hit it with some el-cheapo clear.
i did a rushed job and got some runs in it. however it lifted the look of the plastics which are showing their age, dull and look like they have a tinge of grey, if that makes any sense?
and gave it a gloss look again.
as for the plug socket, if you know what size it is a cheap one from an auto shop.
the type like a piece of tube that has been formed to make a single hex. usually with 2 sizes. 1 each end, the have 2 holes in the middle and a short rod to turn it.
or a chiansaw shop will have similar stuff as to what i’m thinking of. but have the rod welded to it.
or you could buy a cheap impact socket in the size you need and grind the wall down until it fits.
