Is there a noticeable visual difference between the sx and exc pipes?

    What about the engines?

I always thought they were basically the same engine, just tune and a few small things were different.

That The sx was just a stripped down exc?

Welcome to team orange… Oh oh I mean OBT!

What a delemer …. I’ve not had any exprience with the bikes you’ve mentioned.

Few members have or had DRZ’s. They seem like a great all round bike, but lack the grin factor of a bit more nimble KTM like the 350.

If you already have the KLR I’d be tempted to go something more fun factor, that way you have best of both worlds.

Best advise everyone here will give is see if you can test 2 or 3 bikes and pick the one you feel most comfortable on. Then get the suspension set up for you.

Unfortunately most of us aren’t the rider weight they leave the factory set up for.

Yeah figured the factory model would be a little bit more. And thought the 10k may well have been a run out unit. still looked like was well worth looking at if in the market.

    .

Ad for a Std model states Sachs suspension.

    that’s a crap beater!!

    :p :silly:

They seem to be well priced too…. Aren’t they?

Shop just north of melb had one advertised for a whisker under 10k, although it wasn’t a factory model. Do they have the option of carb or efi? One I saw was efi I think. Will see if I can find the ad and double check.

Happy trails Nick with a schmick

    Ride. :woohoo:

Nar it’s a Freeride E. just disguised in a tuning forks box.

The FS 1E would be interesting on the trails.

    KTM says your welcom TB!

Just because honda can’t keep up ;p  :silly:

Was your slot car set as much fun Wolfie? :cheer:

I do love the sound of a big bore thumper or a throaty smoker, but a 40kg dirt bike- more a beefed up MTB would be fun for a change. They claim 1cent/ km to run. Same for the 120kg zero. Bug down side is range and PRICE!!

At $19+k for a Zero, I doubt it’s going to be the future soon.

You could buy my 640 enduro, I could set it up for adv and you would have $26k to spare! :p suspension is already set up for 180kg load. 320mm front disc and trail tech speedo.
